Default RE: E-Maxx vs Pede Weight

Well, I know the Stampede weighs about <4lbs without batteries. The E-Maxx is about 7.5-8 lbs without batteries. Take away the motors, and the Stampede might be about 3.5lbs, The Emaxx might be around 7 lbs. If you're after speed, up to a certain point the Stampede might be cheaper and easier to make faster, because you are working with half the weight of an E-Maxx. But, with enough power (and it doesn't take much) you'll have your Stampede wheelieing too much instead of driving normally, while the E-Maxx, though heavier and requires more power, is a little bit less susceptible to wheelies if you control your acceleration it just right. That's my take on it.
