RE: Official Electric Conversion Thread
ORIGINAL: Fiegs
Im going to convert my revo to brushless with the money im getting from x-mas.
Only thing is im a little confused on the motor/esc selections.
Ive heard the feigao motors are good for the money.
Im going to be using the gorilla maxx chassis. Does anyone know if the new e-maxx tranny will fit in the gorilla chassis?
Also is the larger brushless motor going to fit in the transmission or am i going to have to rig something?
I am going to use lipo batteries and im wondering how many cells these things can handle.
Thats all my questions for now. I'm not on a budget so if theres a killer combo thats a few extra $$$$ let me know.
In the mean time im going to read through the forst 16 pages to see what everyone else is running.
Merry Christmas

You will need to get a radio also, and some batteries. Would you like a monster truck instead? Its a fairly simple process, you just have to figure out how to mount all the stuff yourself.

I like your setup bombers 410. the titans may not be stellar in an emaxx, but on a buggy that weight 4-5 pounds less you should be able to get some nice speed out of it. I run my titans on 16 cells geared down a tooth on my emaxx and they are pretty strong motors. The brushless stuff is nice but unless you are running top quality batts you are just going to let the smoke out. You've got no cogging with that setup and the way youve got it right now it probably all stays pretty cool. Now throw some lipos on that puppy, gear it up a little more and youve got yourself a fast light setup. You may not be setting speed records vs the brushless version but your drivetrain will last a lot longer. Dont get me wrong I like the brushless stuff, but until there is bit better support and more options this is a good way to go.

the savage x is 100 times better than the esavage.
you should wait for the new MMM(one of the lower k/v motors if your going to run on 5 or 6s) then run it on a 6s setup. the emaxx tranny will fit in the gorilla max chassis but IMO the revo chassis with revo tranny is stronger, and is just alot better and cheaper way to go.

td before you finalize that, check your COG, that looks like its gonna be tail heavy, not good for turning or high speed stability..

Well I really dont want to spend $100 on a motor for the warhead so im thinking of getting another Feigao XL series motor. What do you think would suit this best? Im was thinking 10xl-11xl.

I never said for sure. If I can save for the ammo 36-88 then I'll end up getting that for sure but the XL's are cheaper so go figure...

RE: Official Electric Conversion Thread
Id like to convert a Cen Nemesis to brushless and just run the nitro's over lol.....jk
Most of the Cen stuff looks pretty cool. The CRT.5 would be an awesome brushless project for me also.
In 2 years I'll start an electric conversion. Dunno what to convert there is alot of choices?

RE: Official Electric Conversion Thread
The best setup for a nitro to electric conversion would be a Nemesis brushless motor with a mamba max esc.
This would be great in the Cen Nemesis, Nemesis with a Nemesis brushless motor LOL!![sm=thumbs_up.gif]

RE: Official Electric Conversion Thread
well my esc never gets over 90 with 4s so 5s shouldnt hurt it. im just worried I got a newer one and it will just blink. I got mine about 2 weeks before I started reading about the MM being updated, so im not sure if it will work. we will find out. 5s should put me at about 42-45mph(48 on paper) with my 10xl geared 17/36. I may go to 17/38 or 40 because I found that 35 was plenty of speed for me. But then the added torque is going to shred things. IDK I will just check the temps.
