Default Evader EXT compared to t4/xxx-t.

Alright guys, I'm wondering if the evader EXT is worth getting for the price to become a club race truck. What got me looking was the price. So I'm wondering if the evader EXT is race worthy or does it drive like a rustler?[:'(] BUT, do you guys think it's worth it to spend the extra $120 for a t4 or xxx-t? Especially since I'm a budget racer?

Thanks

t.d. might be able to help here. he just test drove one. for a buget racer i think the ext is a great truck. leaves you some money to go brushless or whatever you plan to do with the truck.

Well in the poll you have t4 and xxxt, of course those are better racers, but on a budget I'd think the evader would be fine. Might want to run graphite suspension as it'll be stiffer and more responsive though.

I would also take a very close look at the E-Firestorm, its basically a racable TANK. Its got all the nice things like captured hinge pins(NO E-CLIPS) and a all metal gear diff that is sealed, add the right oil and no ball diffs to melt.

The EXT is a way better handler than a rustler. The EXT is one of the best deals in RC imo. Its $99 at www.ultimatehobbies.com for $120 at most local shops. I bought mine locally and its awesome. Handles fine, mine is quick to spin out but I also am running a mamba brushless with 8 cell packs. My stock tires were shot on pavement in about 10 minutes. I am not running dirt hawgs and its a kick butt truck.

Buy the EXT for $100, buy new bearings for $20, and have fun racing.

check the new EXT with its more durable magnaflex material should be a great racer fpr club racing... remember i have both and i can vouch that the evader handles great not as good as my mf2 BUT WAY better than a rusty.. and at 99 bucks its a screamer buy... i would invest in bearings for it though... just think take it to a track and spank the t4-xxxt guys, and then say to yourelf yeah baby 99 dollar evader did it, lol... i might get one soon...

T4 all the way!! Parts support for the XXXT isnt that great because you'll have to order thru Horizon.
The T4 has parts support all over tower hobbies and other distributers.
Do you wanna see an evader hit the dust then here ya go! Check out the pic.
Got his ***** handed to him.... I'll buy the Evader to bash with, but a rustler is better at that.

I once raced an out of the box ST Pro and qualified A-main with it, setting faster times than over half the people there

its not the car they say its the driver... and the xxxt has tons of parts support besides horizon, go to www.losipartshouse.com and you will find anything you need for your losi.

This is exactly the thing I was thinking, If I could get away with an evader once I learn how to drive an r/c on a track than I would be about this || close from getting the EXT.

I voted for the evader ext because I had just recently purchased one off tower and its performance is great. No doubt about it.[sm=thumbs_up.gif]
