Default Hacker C50 + E-Savage = ???

After having some problems with my cheap duraflight ammo 2600 motor I thought I could step up to a nice motor. I got a friend at my lhs with a hacker C50 maxx (not 100% sure on all of the specs), He used it 3-4 times with his old e-maxx and never got a full run through it do to the tranny giving out. Well I asked him and he is asking $125 for it, which I don't think is that bad. I would like to hear all of your opinions on this. I am looking for amazing preformence. This would be going in my e-savage running on 4s lipo.

If you have any experience or just an opinion I would love to hear it, thank you.

I am still not sure about it. I would love to hear some opinions. But if the preformance is as good as he makes it sound, I think it will be more than enough to make me happy. The one thing that worries me is the size of the shaft, it is a 3.17mm shaft, even my cheap motor has a 5mm shaft. Is this something I will have to worry about?

Thanks again for all of the help.

As I am looking on rc-monter I am seeing a lot of mixed reviews. A lot of people love them. And a lot of people are snapping shafts! Not a good thing![&o]

As soon as my account is activated I will put up a thread on rcm. It has been half an hour already.[]

Thanks again for all of the help, and keep it coming.

I have been waiting a day for my rc-monster account to be activated, is this normal or is something wrong?

Thanks again for all of the help.

I don't really know anything about them, but I did find this info page... The thing that would worry me is that it doesn't appear to even be a L or XL motor as it is described as being "a bit shorter" than the C50 L. Like I said, don't really know anything about them, but from my brushless research I thought an L/XL motor was a must for heavy monster trucks...

The c50 maxx is the one that is slightly shorter than the l series. But it supposed to preform just as good if not better. Thanks for the link Coder.

Anyone else?
