Default Heng Long Mad Truck?

I don't know much about RC trucks, but I am looking for one for my young son (and me too, of course )to use in the yard, so I'm looking for an electric truck with suspension. I see on eBay that they have a Heng Long Mad Truck (1:10) that looks good from the pics. Does anyone have any experience or opinions on the Mad Truck? Thanks.

You might be better off with something else. Just about all the things I hear about those are how they break a lot.

All electric trucks have suspensions. Youd be better off buying a used stampede for $100 range, rather than buy a cheap new truck.

Yea man, stay away from cheap knock-off RC's like that because they are cheap and you won't find any parts for them.

Go to your local hobby shop and talk to them, and find what car/truck they stock parts for. All of these cars break at some point, it is annoying having to mail order everything, having to wait days/weeks for parts and pay for shipping. Plus, your local shop will help you troubleshoot and fix your car/truck, don't expect them to help you with fengwontong brand car.

Thanks to everyone for your replies/opinions. I will look into buying used as suggested. I will also start at a local hobby shop that isn't too far from our house. Price range is pretty low, though, so I'm looking for something at or under the $150 range. Again, thanks for the information.

nope. only the heng long mad truck parts will work.
and parts ship from aus and its expensive. thats why my heng long is just sitting on a shelf and being used for parts/hardware.
if yours is still in running order, put it on ebay before it breaks. then buy a redcat volcano epx pro or a traxxas.
