Default New to LIPO Question about Charging

Hey,

I'm hoping someone has an answer for me on this one. I have a 11.1V 10C 8000mAh Lithium Polymer Battery, from this [link=http://myworld.ebay.com/batteryworld.123?&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1181]Ebay seller[/link]. The battery pack is a 3S 2C configuration.

I purchased this [link=http://www.allerc.com/product_info.php?cPath=9&products_id=3367]HYPERION EOS0606I AC/DC BALANCING CHARGER [/link].

The battery pack has a 4 pin connector, and the balancer is 5 pins for a 2 cell or 3 cell pack and goes up to 7 for the 6 cell pack.

Thanks for any help.

I don't understand what your question is? You basically just told us you have a battery from an ebay seller..

are you asking about the plug configuration?

He's referring to the balance tabs.

The Hyperion charger you have is awesome. I've got the 0610i model, and it rocks. These chargers have a built in LBA10 balancer which uses Hyperion style balance tabs (the 5-pin ones you talked about). The lipo you linked from ebay uses a JST-XH balance tab... or more commonly known as an "Align" balance tab. You just need to get an adapter for it, that's all. Check out maxamps.com and buy a "hyperion to jst-xh" adapter board.

I just ordered [link=http://www.allerc.com/product_info.php?products_id=2575]this[/link] it should show up tomorrow. (They ship the next town over from me). I can't wait to try out my new brushless system.

Thanks

That's only for 4s lipos, and you have a 3s.

You need [link=http://www.allerc.com/product_info.php?products_id=3159&osCsid=704cf9fcaa9d487fbf908724b522f58b]This[/link]. Call All-e-rc and tell them you need to change your order.

Just my luck,

I called them and that part is out of stock until later this week. Thanks for the correction.
