If it is leaking then DON'T charge it. You could burn your house down! Leaking cells = bad.

RE: bad ener-g battery?
Haole,
PLEASE return this pack ASAP. It is extremely dangerous to charge it at this point - it will not take very long to replace, as I have everything going full steam ahead as of yesterday. There is no point in putting yourself, your house, or your truck at risk.
Alex

RE: bad ener-g battery?
Is it just me, or do these wonder cells seem to be having problems like the IB 4200's?
Has anybody really made any truly reliable cells that don't vent/leak/explode with capacity beyond 3800? IB 3600, 3800 and GP 3300, 3900 (4300?) were pretty reliable and good cells, but I have heard about lots more volatility with the higher cap cells.

these new enerG 4600 are nothing compared to the problems people have had with Ib 4200.. but its the nature of the beast that there will be a sour apple in the bunch.

RE: bad ener-g battery?
I have had awesome luck with my Ener-G 4600 so far... And I was one who got some of the very first ones too (Because Alex upgraded me to those cells and made my pack right when they came in, so I probably got some of the very first ones out there in the RC community.) Anyway, I hope you all start having better luck.
I think one thing that has kept me in the good zone was because I charged them at a full paced 4.6 amps on the first charge, and ran them in my crawler for a slow and steady discharge, but not too slow. And now running them in my XXX-T drag truck all the time, and have had nothing but great luck with them.
