Well, that was bad driving. From what I've heard the truck is very solid.
Every 20 runs you have to do maintence on the rear diff. It dont take that long though, just remove a few screws.

My brushless system came today, I have already soldered a dean connector on the esc.
The truck is ready to rip up some dirt.

The stock ball-studs are also very cheap and will break off easy, so I took the ones off my B4 team kit and rs4mt.
I have also installed matching black RPM ballcups to make the truck even stronger.

I have not drove it or got it dirty just yet. I'll wait and run it for the first time this weekend.

Just be glad you don't have to do work on the front and rear diff. That would really be a pain.

Get videos and let us know how it does!

Here's pics of mine.

I put my AE radio in it, because this esc doesnt like spectrum/Fasst.
Everytime I steer it would go in reverse, thought that was kinda odd.[&:]

I ran it all day long and didnt break anything. This truck is amazing, I let a guy at the track drive it and he wants one.
The stock tires worked on the hard packed clay track in reo indiana also, I had almost too much traction.
I switched to my Losi pink tapers and it drived so much better though.

I'll save the stock tires and black rims for loose dirt, which I think that's what these tires are designed for.

remember, a large lug pin tire (aka, what it comes with stock) works best for hard surfaces, and hey, they don't wear down as fast, ya, thats what i love, a car that is a good racer that doesn't break easily

the e-firestorm comes with threaded shocks stock, so to adjust the ride heigth you twist the shock collars and it is adjusted

The stock springs are not ment for racing, so you have to have associated silvers in the front and green springs in the rear.
The black springs are not that good and a tad too soft.
The 40wt trinity shock oil I used in the front and rear also so the shocks are dialed now.[>:]

You can however race with the stock tires,
because I tried them on loose dirt and they worked, and they also worked on hard packed clay indoor tracks also.

I found the error. HPI messed up these kits and got the springs mixed up.

If you switch the front springs with the rear springs the the truck is dialed for the track.

I noticed the springs are different from each other.

So there's no sense on wasting money on springs when the stock ones are just fine, just switch 'em around.

Why is everyone waiting for the Flux?

If I am correct, the only difference is the brushless system. Even that, it's a 5700 SW that can only handle 2s. Not too impressive. You can easily buy a 4600/5700 SW right now and get the same truck, pretty much.

Is there anything else I'm missing?

Exactly, I bought the RTR and put the stuff I wanted to put in it.
I have a budget LRP esc that is waterproof, and I spilled water on it a few days ago, and powered it up last night, it still works.
And the 9.5 brushless is enough power to make the jumps at my local track as well.
I love this truck!

Switch just the springs, or the whole shocks?
Also, what tires are you racing with?
What is probably the fastest brushed motor (That is also good for at the track) to put in the Storm?
