No idea why they're full size, never did that before until today. And sounds like you've got some choices to make. Might be cheaper to go the 3S route, but definitely nice to have another R/C to add to the collection.[sm=teeth_smile.gif]

Wifes letting me spend $250 out of our tax return on RC stuff, Not sure what to get. Maybe new charger and havoc 3s with a new 3s zippy. or maybe i will just leave the storm as is and get a new rc.
250 doesn't seem like enough for a whole new setup. I think I would go the 3s route.
I have been unemployed and we have had loads of snow this winter. That being said I have been pretty bored. That explains this pic. Also I was think of making my wheelie bars black, any thoughts?

I was thinking about a wheely king w/o electrics $134 and a second tactic reciver for $29 and a 3600 kv brushless setup from hobbycity for $58, Have a HT servo and a good lipo.
with shipping should be under $250 and would be a nice mud/trail truck

Or may a tamiya CC-01.

Been so cold I haven't had much chance to play with anything (still 19t) and no temps to speak of. The warmest day I used it was high 40s. I have a few other gears I can use, just waiting on the weather. It is slightly slower than my friend's Rustler. I advanced the timing one mark on the motor and wow it seemed to really wake it up. I only played with it in my driveway but, I look forward to driving with that rustler again. I also switched the throttle to linear a couple weeks ago...I seem to like that better.
A wheely King would be fun. I forgot hobbycity makes everything affordable. haha My prob is I can't leave anything alone...I would just end up starting another never ending project.

Darkside, I thought at first glance that your pic was some sort of professional ad. Nice job, and an even nicer Storm! Your wheely bars would look nice black, and not stand out so much from the rest of the chassis. But don't get me wrong, everything looks great as is!

Red, if you're thinkin of doin some crawlin you won't even need money for a brushless setup. The Tamiya silver can or higher turn motor would work just fine.

True, but then i would need a esc, and for 58 bucks for a brushless esc and motor would not be anymore then a brushed esc and 540 motor.

Hi Red, I'd wait a while for the HPI Bullet Flux, I'm still interested to see what motor set up HPI are using, wondering if they will use the more torquey 4600kv to drive the 4wd.

I have been looking at that too, Looks like its a HB GT10 Clone. I found a vid but its of the nitro version.

I have a feeling I will too. I have used lipos in my old rc copter and in my brushless micro. I remember I was like holy crap double speed [sm=tongue_smile.gif]

HPI Europe keep mentioning the Bullet Flux but with very limited details, they also seem to be bringing out a mini Savage. From looking at the video you posted the Bullet looks fairly heavy so I can't see them using the 5700kv Flux system

Yeah all i see is the nitro version on the eu website. And to me would make a ton more sense to have the 4600kv in it.

I learned an interesting tidbit of info last night on the short course forum that HPI has linked to the Blitz. Eric Shauver i think his name is (HPI's Blitz driver) was talking about the rear gear diff. He went on to mention that the newest batch of Blitz's have a slightly modified diff which apparently has better seals, o-rings etc to prevent the diff fluid from leaking out better. He did mention for ppl to contact HPI if they were still having problems and they'd send out the appropriate parts. Now i'm not positive, but I imagine that diff would be identical to ours? Sure would be nice to have a diff that didn't leak out fluid through the outdrives. If not, then we may as well have a ball diff cause we have to tear apart the gear diff enough anyways.

Very good, About time HPI did this, So many people had problems with the fuild leaking out before they even got them out of the box. I find it funny how they seem to be putting a lot more effort into fixing the problems with the blitz, But not the firestorm. and now you know what ESE stands for
