Nitro-rob, I get what your saying now, but i think you get the feeling that the sensored isn't as fast because its alot smoother and more linear compaired to sensorless where its jumpy sometimes because there's no hall sensor to send feedback to the esc on rotor position. So the sensorless have a different feel. Both still great motor's as i run sensorless in the storm.

You can get the tekin Pro4 motors from Stormerhobbies and find a discount code and get it for like $115.00 there usually $135.00  There so worth the money like I said there the best motor out for SC trucks. I may switch mine over to my firestorm to see what happens. I really want there 3300kv and to run it on 3s in the firestorm it would be ballistic

Thanks Rob and namewasdallas for your help, order placed for RPM arms.

Isn't it a bit premature wear for this arm that ran for less than 5 hours in total ?

I think my negative experience is because the novak ballistic motors are just weak (although incredibly sure footed). The X-11 motor performed similarly.

It looks like you had an impact that stretched your a-arm. That is likely not routine wear from the arm pivoting. Before the RPM stuff came out I changed my arms once or twice a season on my nitro firestorm.

Hello Pancake, nice to see you.

You can get bearings, I can't remember the size but I bought them from am esky helicopter for about $4.00. The dimensions of those bearings are in this thread or the nitro one, I can't find it off hand.

Hi Rob,

I forget this always, yes i did kiss a pole so it could be the result of this impact that started to insert "play" in the arm.

Thanks,

6x3x2.5 mm bearings for the bellcrank.  They are on ebay and cost next to nothing.

Peloche - Some people have fit other bodies in here but I don't recall what they were.  Someone early on had a baja bug body.

My flux 2350 came in today.  I switched the HP electronics into it and changed the tires and radio.  The batteries are charging.  I will move my mods onto it over the next couple of days and will have pics soon.  I am excited about the first run.

The alphastar 2350 motor has me thinking that it may be fun to put in the firestorm for the heck of it.  Its huge and weighs a ton, though.  It already has the right sized connectors on it so I think it will just pop it in.

Thanks Rob, very interesting for the baja bug body, i'll make some searches for next time (done: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_72...tm.htm#9112229 ), this time i bought HPI 7123.

Congrats for your 2350 and post pics as soon as you can, Alphastar 2350 on Firestorm will make it by the weight to wheelie more often IMHO.

You have room in the flux battery box to run a small lipo.  I was considering it if the blur can't handle my 5685MH servo.  I have the HP electronics in it so it is no longer a 2350.  Pics will come.

The 2350 is too much for the firestorm, I was thinking of doing it for fun and to make a video but wouldn't run with that setup.

That is a nitro firestorm body, you need the DSX-2, the shock tower is at the wrong location.

I think it is.  I have a dsx-1 body and it definitely doesn't fit the FS.  I'm glad you had a chance to have it changed.
I will have my flux HP maiden voyage around 7pm tonight.  i'm trying to figure out which 6s battery option I want to use.

Blur ESC and Tork motor.  I just ordered a matching 3s battery to go with the one I use in the XS so I am now set up for 4s and 6s.

Hi Rob,

You're right about DSX-1 body and E-Firestorm Flux HP, US HPI site doesn't make them compatible, http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/7123/

So how is your 2350 ? maiden voyage was successful ?

It rained last night and unfortunately I only had it out for about five minutes.  It isn't a wheelie monster and its pretty tame but strong enough to have a lot of fun.  I think having 4s and 6s options is going to be nice to have, just like the 2s/3s option on the flux xs.  If the weather gets better I will have it out this evening.  I am interested in knowing the run time.

I am.  Its okay, you should shim the posts to tighten it up.  I would buy it again for the price.  It will get sloppy when it gets worn.  I don't have pics accessible.

I was in a knockoff toy store today and saw that they carry redcat rc's. there was a Twister xtg pro on the counter, nice copy of a Efirestorm. lol The store owner got pretty upset when I pointed out it was based on the firestorm. only difference is the plastic/aluminum shocks and the battery strap. oh and the on off switch on the tranny. even the bodys a copy lol. He wasn't impressed lol.

It is very similar.  I notice the body mounts are different on it.  If you can't beat them copy them I guess.

I had the savage out for five minutes yesterday and haven't had a chance since.  Its killing me.
