The E-Savage is great. It's fast right out of the box and really durable. HPI did a good job with the E-Savage, which is the reason why I wanted to purchase their 2wd stadium truck. Another plus is that there's a dedicated forum for it with plenty of useful users, mods and information.

thats funny...I own a Storm but have been thinking about getting a e-savage...

Actually, I don't own an E-Firestorm, YET. I currently have the E-Savage. I really had to restrain myself from purchasing the E-Firestorm, but I plan to purchase one in a few months (along with a brushless system).
Thanks for all the info guys.

LVC...oh do you have the non-Flux Firestorm? If you do just get a good 7 cell SXS pack from Cheapbatterypacks for under $50 and it will run almost 30 mins.

Excellent, I've now got 2 on the way, $70 for the 2 including postage to the UK can't be bad!!
ORIGINAL: redfisher1974
They come with a deans pigtail with bullet connectors that plug into the pack.
ORIGINAL: lcb1978
I'm just about to order 2 of these as they seem well rated by some of you guys, as mentioned they come with deans plugs, just want to double check if I order 2 of these they will come with plugs fitted/soldered etc and ready to charge?? only asking as the link page shows them as packs without wires/plugs.

As Killimats said you can get a good lipo for $27 before shipping from hobbycity....I would not waste my time on those nicads.Link below..These are good battery's and comes with deans plug.

But if you wait a few more weeks the new Havoc 3s ballistic system(check back a few post to see the add.) comes out for $160 and it is the same as the sport but it can run 3s which will be good for 55mph......

I have no idea what my Axial rims offset are, but they are taken off the ARTR orange Axial AX10, and fit perfectly onto the E-Firestorm.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
My bro just go the flux, using the same exact battery on mine ( i run the SW 4600) i get cogging and he does not. I dont get it on a full charge but about 1/2 through I have to ease onto the gas, but whatever it works over all. I might have my gearing to tight or something else but its not that bad. In time I think I will try a sensored system but for right now I don't have extra money. I think when I do I will get one of the Novak's as they seem to be very highly recommended.
Right now, I need to get some better batteries, might go with those lipos but that means I have to get a new charger and everything but you can't beat the price, and I have to get some new tires. Also want to get a 2.4 radio but for now the ol' AM works.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Just wanted to share my positive experience after upgrading the suspensions as follow
Front with 35wt shock oil + Team Associated Silver spring + badhorsie HPI black socks
Rear with 35wt shock oil + Team Associated Green spring + badhorsie HPI black socks
The car sticks MUCH better in turns and handle jumps landing like a pro ! a must do upgrade !!
next is the 10.000 Diff oil with RTV gasket to prevent leaking
Thanks to this forum for all inspiration as well as this one http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...ng-thread.html

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
i have managed to get mine to stick to loose fine gravel on standard parts with the rear shocks moved to the inner hole at the top and outer at the bottom using 30wt schumacker oil front and back.
and all standard tyres.
but soon as i have the money i would like a set of new shocks, but its soo hard to decide which shocks though. haha

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
I think Im going to remove the super thick grease I put in the diff....Had a great bash today on a gravel backroad and even with the gyro I get alot of front end push..The gyro counter steers all the way but the posi effect seems to push the truck...Me thinks if i go to a thinner lube in the diffs the gyro will work better.......Wish I had someone to bash with.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Hi, I'm new at this forum and also for about a week I'm happy owner of FS Flux
I have question about springs, today I changed stock rear springs for some I had already, they have more coils, right now I can't check my ride but I wanted to know how this will influence driving?
By the way this car rocks :P

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Do you have the Flux? Why did you switch the a-arms?....people at the track have found that the a-arm switch is making the lap times slower...
Sorry i have not seen these shocks so i cant help you ......Hello and Welcome.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
If your talking about keeping the front wheels on the ground you would be better off adjusting the slipper clutch.....almost all of the guys who came up with that mod have changed their minds and have switched back saying it was a wast of time..made the lap time slower etc.
I have never tried it so I can only say what I have heard from alot of different forums......but if it works for you it's all good.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Thanks i will try switching the arms back. For the stage 2 piston change
tried it last night now its a diffrent animal as far as suspension goes handling
but you got to know what your doing or your suspension will suffer for those
thinking about using stage 2 pistons get the meduim set. Just thought id
throw that in.

RE: Official E-FIRESTORM thread
Had my first official race day with the E-Firestorm managed to finish second in the A Main. A XXXT beat me and that was it. I was the only Firestorm there and many people were impressed with such a low budget truck and how it handled compared to the more expensive tried and tru ST trucks. Chalk another one up for HPI for engineering a basher truck that is competitive.
