G'day Nick, your rigs still looking good.
Nice vid with the bruiser shell Lunchboxer, hows your rig going.

last week I changed the HPI X-75 motor out for a LRP Big Block Special, she ran well for a few minutes and then there was smoke everywhere, bye, bye ESC fried it big time turns out it wasn't rated for a 12 turn motor.

cheers,
Glenn.

Mine is doing great too... converted to 4 wheel steering earlier this year so it's much more maneuverable. Lots of fun to take camping!

Glad everyone's rigs are still around. Tough to take down! I found on rctech there's a group to trail run with around here. Should be a few CRs too

I suppose I could... I've been thinking about some lights too. Most of my RC spending loot goes to airplanes, so it takes a while.

Got a suggestion for where to get the bent links? I'm in Canada.

Yeah, I've had the 3R and the Tamiya. The Tamiya look much better. The STRC seem to be more direct copy of the Tamiya.

In other news, I just ordered a set of the Tamiya metal plated Pentagram wheels in +5 offset.

now to figure out tires. I was thinking these but I'm afraid they will be tall as hell (137mm, almost 5.5") and look goofy, stock tires are around 121mm

They actually appear skinnier because of how tall. Maybe optical illusion.

Just checked. They really are slightly skinnier.

Here they are, with the star aluminum beadlock rings in stalled on them. I didn't get the tires yet so I put the Vise Crawlers on them. I realized the VCs are severely cracked and dry rotted. They are so old they broke down like real tires. So definitely not going to wait long to get new tires.

Some very nice looking wheels. I wouldn't go much taller than the vc's you have on . Won't look as scale and make it more top heavy, and the cr01 can't afford to be any worse than stock.

I'm running 2.2 flat irons on my rig, I'm also got a set of RC channels metal axle housings fitted aswell which keeps the weight down low and so far
she's been performing great with this setup.

Some pics will have the kit tyres fitted,Ihave been using the Flat irons for over a year now and love them.
