Me?! Only 3?! I have 3 at home right now, one more coming in from Tower.. ha! I know, I got a problem..

I will probably build up one.. yes.. although I am not in a hurry.. as I have 2 Touaregs.. which is pretty much the same but w/ longer wheelbase.. but yeah, the Pajero has a cooler shell!

The Novak system will be fine I am sure.. but usually I only put BL system in my faster cars / trucks..

Lunchboxer, are you going to build at least one of your Pajeros? I suppose you are going to keep at least one NIB since you bought three.

My Novak 13.5 system totally impressed me with it's extreme low speed (meaning motor barely turning) controllability, as well as it's ability to offer good torque in this situation. I think it will be good for the Pajero. It is basically the same as Novak's Goat Crawler system, but with a slightly faster motor. The speed control also doesn't make that beeping/high pitched noise while driving slow, it is basically totally silent. I don't know why, but those high pitched noises really get to me. I think it will work out well, but I can't wait to find out one way or another.

This thing is growing on me. I must be getting more and more to liking the scale stuff. And at only $122, what a bargain.

Hmm.......this could be trouble.

Yay, all merchandise shipped! At $112 (with coupon) I am almost tempted to buy another. Must...resist....

Lunchboxer, buying another doesn't mean you have a problem. It's ok because it's a "hobby". At least that's what I tell myself.

I have to resist this...at least until next year. Too many other things to buy first, and I can't even get those now. Arg.

Still NIB for me... [&o] The good news is the Losi mini crawler tires are 1.9" Finally some soft rubber with inserts we could potentially use.

Just ordered mine here in the UK, ebay sent me a discount voucher so I used it to get £25 off - nice. Ordered a set of bearings too...
Kit arrived yesterday and the bearings today, so the build has started - takes me back over 20 years and the excitement is still the same!

Slightly disappointed that the NIB kit was missing the ESC, but re-reading the ebay ad it states that an ESC is required to get it running, so can't really complain. I wasn't going to use the Tamiya ESC anyway as I am going to pull all the electronics out of the Mini Mustang for this kit, including the waterproof Mtroniks ESC, but it would have been nice to have a spare.

Might even get some lights for it too - do people usually run them off the main battery or put in a separate 9V battery?

It's back up to $180 on Tower Hobbies. Good thing mine should be delivered tomorrow. Tomorrow may be a late day at work[:@], I may not be able to start the build until this weekend, or possibly next week.

I got it from a private UK seller, and the outer box was covered in Singapore stamps so I presume he got it from there, relieved it of the ESC and sold the rest. Bit annoying, but no big deal...

Thanks for the tip re the lights, I'm going to get a cheap kit off the bay with just 4 white LEDs to try rather than getting the Tamiya kit.
