Well a 12T brushless is 3300kv. @7.4v that would be 24420rpm I believe. As long as the turns between brushless and brushed are similar kv values then this should give you a good idea. I didn't find anything on the Titan rpm's or kv.

Yes, but the 12T is a 550 can so it actually more like a 15T 540....so whatever that RPM is!!

The P2K2 will be MUCH faster than the titan. You'll probably need to gear it a little lower to keep away the heat monster, but it will still be faster, and have more torque.

The cells them self are waterproof. It's the tabs that are not. Honestly, you'd be better off to just put like a plastic bag or something around the battery. For $24 that looks like a great deal. Worse case is, the battery sucks and you have to buy a new one. I'm just going to use my old GP cells, you could use your Ener-g.

Yea i might try to re solder my ener-g battery and i also have a bunch of old 6 cells. But they wont have very much power. I just was thinking about getting that battery cause its very cheap for a 3600. Its just for a couple weeks until the snow melts and i can drive it on my brushless system.

That's what I was guessing from the comment made comparing the Titan to a 3700 Kv Brushless. Thanks for the input. What do you think a good starting point would be? Should I go with the 90t spur, or drop down to a 16 or 17t pinion? Been a while since I ran electric. lol

Thanks again for the input.

What size pinion is stock on the slash? I was thinking its 23 for some reason but now I'm thinking that's the optional one. (I don't know because I bought mine used from a friend with a 25 tooth pinion in it.)

And I think the titan is closer to a 3100kv motor.

It's 19, and the 23 is the optional one. You could have easily looked that up.

I don't think anyone knows what Traxxas stock oil weight it. At least, nobody Ive talked to knows what it is. But Id like to know that as well.

One thing you could try is switch to a 1 hole piston.

Hi Guys, looking for a few places that sell parts for the Slash. I guess I'm really looking for some places that sell upgrade/hop-up parts for all sorts of 1/10 scale vehicles. Exclude Tower for now, I know that one. I am developing an accessory for 1/10 scale trucks, but it is being tested around a Slash, so I need some links for places that might carry it. Thanks in advance.

The PAPERWORK says 19 tooth, but mine, and most others at my race track, came with an 18 tooth pinion installed. Yes, I counted the teeth to be sure.

I believe it comes with 30w all around. I changed out just the fronts with 45w. Gotta get it on the track and see how she handles.

Just filled my diff 1/2 way OFNA diff lock and 7k diff fluid mixed together. Locked up pretty good allowing just a tiny bit of spin, enough to not stress the tranny. We'll see how it hold up. Running RPM narrow rock crawling rims with HPI Geolanders. I installed the hexes that came with teh RPM rims as they are smaller and let the wheels tuck in a bit more. So far on grass they work like a charm!!

Going to the track tomorrow to see how well it all work out.

If it did, good. Traxxas finally got smart and stopped overgearing their cars. New bonus! It comes with an optional gear of 30/50 for a top speed of 50 mph!
