RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread
Alright just got back from rcx and that was my main focus, the E-Revo. Lets start with this video. This is a 6 plus minute video with me asking a couple of questions and just check the stock and hopped up erevo.

Here is a 28 second shot of MMM

Ok and here are tons of high res pictures, please do not complain. I have been up very early and no way I was going to re-size all these, but it be good to get some close ups of the E-Revo

RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread
I went to RCX yesterday and saw this first hand and also talked with traxxas about it. It's comming out in 2 months. The price will be approx $500. They had an E-Revo there at the show with an after market B/L set-up.

Thats the thing with Traxxas... not that this is bad but, they'll release a product and six months down the road they'll have an up graded version...
I think i'll wait for the Brushless Version...
ORIGINAL: Takedown
Ill bet traxxas will have a brushless RTR E-Revo out here soon.

It's so cool I printed pictures of it already to hang on the wall.

I was going to save up over the summer and get a Nitro but after seeing this I'm going to save up for a E-Revo once I get my Rustler BL and RPM'd up.

RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread
Saw another vid of a guy who put a single Velenion system in it and seemed to run good. Pretty sure you'd have to gear down though or risk burning out the ESC and maybe the motor....
That suspension system is pretty wicked looking, never seen the guts of a Revo before... Pretty sick stuff, but I'll have to be happy with my Rustler VXL for at least the next year or two. Too much money into it to jump on another truck, especially for $450.
Does this come with metal gears or plastic ones like the rustler XL-5??

The diffs front & rear are metal but the tranny is plastic. The gears in the tranny are very wide and will handle alot of power without the fear of stripping. I have put the gears through a 9xl and 5s lipo geared 20/ 56[jato gear] and they held up fine in the emaxx. The same diffs and tranny is being used in the erevo. So its all good!

RE: THE Official Traxxas E-REVO Thread
Hoping someone can help me...
I just received a tower hobbies discount email so I figure it was a good time to put an erevo on back order... the only problem I have is which color is which frequency. I know I've seen it somewhere but I have tried for a while now to find it and I can't.
can someone please shed some light on this for me?
Cheers

The E-Maxx has reverse so the E-Revo does also.

I'll use my 3-channel Futaba FASST radio with the stock servos.
With a HV-MAXX or similar brushless system.

The Mamba Monster is already out!! My hobby shop guy is working on an E-Maxx, he's got it ordered and a custom Novak motor coming too. The Mamba Monster would definitely be killer in this truck!

$200 for the ESC.... just need a good motor like the one from Novak to hook up to it!
