[link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXUTA3&P=ML]i love this thing[/link]. it'll run the 4600 perfectly, the programing features is awesome, and they run pretty cool. i can't really think of any down sides too it... they're fast, reliable, and the price is right.

you can buy the sidewinder esc for $80 on ebay. made buy castle creations. for another $20 you can buy the cable link to tune the throttle and brake curves. not sur of any real downside.

i haven't had an issue. alls i seem to hear is people raving about them. the programing features are just unmatched, and you can program throttle response to tone the system down, so it may be why he said that. i've got 3 castle systems and for bashing i really just think you can't beat them.

the castle would be well suited for racing as well, if you want to go crazy you'll have to spend lots more money, especially for 1/8th scale buggy or MT conversions, some ESC's out there are $400 and they will kick the crap out of a conversion using the MM, but for 1/10 scale cars, the MM is pretty good, you really can't go wrong with it, only someone with a super expensive BL setup could outpower you. If you want to go for something about 1/2 the price you can go for the sidewinder, which is just a less capable version of the MM, you just can't run 3s and I don't think you can run the 8600, but for your 4600 it'll do fine. Here's a site that has it for 1/2 the price of the MM on tower, shipping is very reasonable too: http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...8&cat=2&page=1

woaahh... before you get the MM, look into your local track rules. castle doesn't have a ROAR approved motor yet, so jus tmake sure you can run the mm system there.

okay I just checked and it seems the only thing the sidewinder doesn't have when compared with the mamba, is the PC connection for programming, and the ability to run very high amp systems, probably nothing that you would have any problem with while using your 4600. I'd go with the sidewinder, it's very capable at a fantastic price.

you can program the sidewinder if you buy the castle link also. It is 20 bucks and it makes it do the same thing as the MM. My brother has the MM and i have the SW. They are both very nice. I bought the SW cause it was cheaper. Now they both have the same programing options.
