RE: OFFICIAL SPEED CHART
According to that calculator my stock VXL Stampede should go 48mph on the stock 19/86 with 11.1v lipo.
But according by my GPS (which is correctly calibrated) it goes 43mph.

I have no idea how fast I go, I am sure its in the 20 mph range or less, LOL. anyhow, anyone try one of these hot wheel radar guns? http://www.amazon.com/Mattel-J2358-H.../dp/B000EHLB0M
I have seen them at $20 and less, could be a fun addition to the lineup, radar the rc's (or the kids riding the bikes and scooters, yell at the neighbors for driving past too fast, etc)

I am sure the GPS adds a bit of weight to the car and slows it down, and most GPS units you have to run a good distance at WOT to get an accurate reading. But that is why it is called a calculator, to get you close to what your speed should be, if you want accurate use a radar gun.

Yeah I made sure I had a looooong open parking lot and ran at full throttle for several seconds. I did several passes for consistency. The weight of the GPS will slow the truck down but it only weighs 150g so I doubt it made too much difference - certainly not 5 mph difference. I did do the runs with the body on the truck so that may have affected top speed.

But anyway, adding more weight will not affect the top speed of your car whatsoever, just how fast it gets there.
