My B44(older pic) and my Tamiya 501x Worlds Edition(when I got it dirty for the first time 2 months ago)
I have done some things to the 501x since I last posted, a Durga front one-way with a TA-05 one-way pulley.
New screws...etc..
The B44 has a new novak GTB brushless system also, I moved up to a 6.5 lite brushless motor and qualified 2nd at reo with it recently.

Meh, I think I'll keep it for now. I need to invest money on an upper chassis, because when I did that face plant it broke the front body mount. I don't know why...the bumper and the shock towers were clearly taller than the mount...by alot, too. They should've broken before the mount...oh well :/

What really cracks me up is: 3 minutes after I peeled off the window masks for the first run, I hit a speed bump (cause of the flipping of my buggy) and the shell automatically went from a brand new race body to a weathered bash body in under 5 seconds...

Anyone know what are some remedies for a few small slits and cracks on an rc shell? Super glue? The type you use to mount tires? Idk...

Try a few thin layers of clear silicone. it worked for one of my old shells.

Clear silicone? Sounds complicated

It'll be fine for now...it's not like the body wobbles when I hit 40 mph...just less appealing [&o] but then again, you only see them when you stare at the body

So...any ideas on making a track? My parents have 3 acres that he uses for recreation. He doesn't use the areas which are infested with vegetation, so I'll be whipping out the lawn mower and making my track...just need an idea sparker.

One wheel barrel of dirt is so freaking heavy...and it's not even enough for one ramp...

Going to have to spend some time on this :P

Btw, I cut the grass too high...my buggy bottoms up like mad [&o]

Wish me luck!

if you are looking for a vintage buggy I would strongly suggest NOT jumping it. at least not large jumps anyways. but if you want an old tamiya that jumps, look for a Dyna Storm. It would be cheaper to get a new tamiya. DT-02 ms(2wd) or Durga(4wd). these two would be good choices.

Man... there's never an end to the upgrade list to any rc car, is there?

Can anyone recommend a shock set up for my bandit vxl? The shocks are really cheap, imo. You think the trx big bores will work? What type springs/oils would be most suitable? I flip when I turn...anacondas on the front, phew!

p.s. I bottom out alot too. So the oil for the shocks are for damping bumps/dips and the springs are for returning to original position? I need some suspension sk00l1ing

not sure about oils but try a heavier one and maybe some stiff springs? I dunno. me also need schoolin. maybe try installing some thin tubing over your shafts so your chassis doesn't smack against the ground.
