hey guys im planing to rebuild A 80% DF01 chassis up into a rally car... one day...

Just for the tamiya fans, this is a highly modified TL01 crawler ive made. some of the ideas might work with the TA01

Its now sporting 4 wheels steering, soon to be swithcable (on/off/reversed)

hello i have a df-01 cayenna n been having problems with the spur gear. i just upgrade to brushless but every time i take off there is a horreble sound that sounds like the gear n pinion are eating each other. i upgrade the motor mount to a metal alloy also i ve change all bearing to ball bearing then everything ealse is stock including the 16t pinnion. what ealse do i need to avoid killing my spur gear

It's a common problem and as far as I know, can't be fixed. Mine had the same problem, you just have to be easy on the throttle when accelerating.

wow so thats something we have to deal with, too bad your going thurgh the same but is good to know i didnt do anything wrong. going to have to order spares just to have them close by. thx for your help

Gave the DF-01 a quick run, didn't last long as I forgot the ESC isn't protected against water...

When I saw the Amarok body had been released I grabbed one immediately. However the wheelbase was too long so I purchased a TA-02 chassis tub (shorter) and it matches up almost perfectly.
