Default Novak HV 6.5

I might be able to get a Novak HV 6.5 system for around $50 at the track this Saturday. I don't have a E-maxx or anything to put it in right now. I'm planning on doing a E-revo conversion in the next few months. How fast is the 6.5 with 14 cells or a 4 cell Li-Po? I could get one of the new 5mm motors if they are that much better.

It's not as good as a MMM, but for $50, I wouldn't pass it up. Especially since Novak has that good warranty.

I'm sure that it works. Will it work on 6 cells with my Ruslter? I don't have 2 batteries.

It says that it will work on 6 cells. I just hope that it keeps up my old BL system since I traded it to my friend and he won't stop bragging.

It wont be that fast on 6 cells. I believe that it's a very low Kv motor, made for high torque and 14.4 volts (perfect for the Maxx). I think your speed will not be what you're hoping for, sorry. [&o]

That's with 12 cells though. Anyone know the Kv of the 6.5?

Novak has it listed at 3400 so that would be around 25000 RPM on 6 cells. I could just gear it 26-83 and hope that with the VERY high gearing I would get some speed.

So what if it's slow on 6 cells? As long as it's working $50 is a steal. You can alway get more battery packs later.
