Still 99% of all rotor are not meant to exceed rpm limits of 60k or higher.

I am well aware of design limits of the different choices, and I chose the hv 4.5 becuase it would be quick on even a TWO cell lipo, and it is built by novak to be run on 4 cell lipo, so if it does fail, then novak can replace becuase they are saying you can. But it wont be controllable on a 4 cell lipo, so I dont think we would run it like that alot.

Assuming we ever get a sponser with deeper pockets.....

Motors are disposable items, and only need to last 5 minutes (not counting running in head to head longer duration Nitro races).

From a heat standpoint, I'm also seeing the 4-pole NEU motors our friends run with having an advantage over our current Fiegao (low budget) test platform. It would seem the batteries and ESC would see less stress.

Of course, everyone seems to be running on the hairy edge, as evidenced by the solder creeping up the wires from the ESC boards and causing motor leads to break off.

Back to the disposable item notion.....

Cool - looks like the RC Monster motor mount? You were pleased with the quality / fit?
