Default Hyper St Pro Conversion!!!

I am finally planning my truggy project. After a long time of debating I think i found everything i was looking for. I wanted the truggy itself to be top quality without killing my wallet, so me and a buddy found the Ofna Hyper st Pro kit, $450 new, not bad. Of course I will be using to rcm motor mount, if it works with this model. Once it is rereleased i will be using the monster max for this build. I will need a motor for temporary use untill I purchase one of higher quality, so I looked to unitedhobbies. I found the KD36 series to be just what I was looking for. And as long as I am ordering the motor from unitedhobbies I may as well order the other things i need, like a bettery and servo. I have heard good things about the Zippy-H 4000mah 25-35c 5s battery, so why not give it a try. And I found a decent looking servo for dirt cheap, I have no idea what to expect. All links are below:

I'm just starting my electric truggy project too. I'm doing the following setup:

- TTR ST-1 RTR truggy
- Mamba Max ESC
- KD36-74-06XL 2800kv motor
- Hextronix or Turnigy 3A UBEC
- Custom motor mount (since no one makes one for the ST-1)
- 12T Mod1 pinion
- 12cell NiMH or 2s2p LiPo
- No load rpm ~40k

Good luck with yours and keep us updated.

Do you by any chance have that motor already? I am desperate to find out how good these motors are. You build seems very interesting, I will be sure to keep my eye open.

Its not smart to run the 6xl with the MM. Both will run to very hot seeing that the 6xl has to high of a kv rating for 1/8 conversions and the MM cant handle the amp ratings the 6xl will pull.

Why not get the 8ight truggy ?
Think it is lighter and then you will get more speed out of it!

But that would only leave $60 for electronics. You gotta think things like this through, you cant just be like "Oh, go buy this kit, its better, for this price." Think people. Use your brain before you type.

Awesome project PedeBeater. I am looking forward to see done. I dont know much about conversions, so I cant really give you any advice, but it does sound awesome so far!

I am building a st pro myself. Waiting for motor (Neu 1515 1.5D) and esc (Mamba Monster) to come from the states. My next thing to consider is batteries. Do I go 2 X 3s lipo's or a 5s due to my charger being limited to charging 5s?

What run time should I expect from what Mah batteries?
