RE: The Official Backyard Track Thread!
I recently posted pics of my new backyard track in the general forum because I didn't know where I should put them but I just found this thread and I since it's the "official" backyard track thread I think they belong here too! I hope you like them.

most likely.
And they don't usually have a place for a driver's stand, unless they are supercross style. and there's no reason for that outside.

Oh, I wasn't thinking it was a pro track, ya know, just something in his backyard where he can do anything he wants. Driver's stand? Why not toss an r/c stand next to the MX track? Have it pull double duty.

I dunno, there's a smaller MX track near me and I think my brushless Firestorm could make good use of at least 75% of the track, if not more. But I'm not one to be shy with the throttle either, lol.

Moebigslee needs to open a club track so people can pay him to race on it.
I dont think it's big enough for 1/8 nitro, but 1/10 electric id be great.

I'm glad you like the track. I know it's not the size of the 1/8 scale tracks your used to seeing in the magazines but it is big enough for 1/8 nitro. The track is 115 feet long, 100 feet wide on one end and 62 feet wide on the other. The narrowest lane width is 11 feet in a couple spots but the majority of the track is over 12 feet wide. ROAR specs only call for 10ft lane widths on 1/8 nitro off road tracks. I built my track to be a tight, technical , lower speed supercross style track, just like real supercross tracks are when you compare them with the typical outdoor motocross track. The larger 1/8 nitro tracks are typically built in large areas with higher speeds and less technical jumps, just like real outdoor motocross tracks. I wanted to build something different. You'll see a lot of r/c tracks online that throw up a couple large jumps and call it a "supercross" track. I wanted something that actually looked like a real supercross track, only smaller.

Here is my backyard track. It's for 1/10 scale vehicles. If I could get some more trees out of the way i'd make it a little bigger.

RE: The Official Backyard Track Thread!
My parents wouldnt let me tear up the lawn, so I made a track with wooden jumps, and cutting the grass as short as possible.
between the sun and the paddle tires I was using, the grass died and it became pretty dusty.
