Default Anyone else waiting for their CC ESC?

Hi all

I just wondered if anyone else was waiting for the Castle Creations MMM ESC? I order mine about 7 weeks ago knowing I was in for a wait (4weeks ish!) but when I phoned them a couple of weeks ago they said they were still 4 weeks off having them ready.
They are very polite and all (as usual) but I am really getting despeate now as I have a Mugen MBX5T that is all built just begging to go! I also have a NEU motor on order which I have said to ship at the same time as the ESC.
I haven't rung again and see no updates on their website[&o]

I've been waiting for a Mamba Max of all things for ages now. B-P-P can't get any and keep sending out E-mails to those who have them on order offering larger and larger incentives for customers to leave their orders in. Lol.

B'cos castle is expanding out of hobby-based products into the UAV / industrial markets, see http://www.castlespecialprojects.com/
that could be taking priority over supplying the hobby markets for the near term. Remember about a year ago Shawn Palmer left to go to Schumaker(spelling?) over something to do with the 'new direction' castle was moving toward. Look at my posts earlier about the AUVSI show, castle, hitec, a few other hobby companies were there as was a lot of hobby-based product (T-rex's and E-maxx's).

i think the only ESC large enough to go in a 1/8th is some of novak's 1/8th conversion kits.

Me too. I'm going to do some searching for a comparable product and maybe cancel my MMM order.

I really wish Neu would have buddied up with someone else. I don't like Castle.

Looks interesting, do you have anything that can handle 6s LiPo?

look at those MGM compro controllers in the link in my above post.

I know they aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for.

You may not like Castle. But once the Mamba Monster Maxx hits the market I bet you end up buying one..............

The MGMs are a bit more expensive but like you said... The TMM 16018-3 looks promising, but I'm very leary of dealing with overseas manufacturers after my dealings with BK / Lehner. Maybe I'll try one if I can find one in stock at a good price.

Thanks...

Why? Assuming I'm still alive when they hit the market for real, what's going to make me buy one? I'm not a 12 year old. Castle's cartoonish website and super sweet current ratings of "more than I can handle" will not exactly sweep me off my feet.

If I have a suitable ESC in hand when the MMM becomes available, I won't even consider buying one.

Castle doesn't want to put a Amp rating on the MMM. But looking at the industrial version they offer, it claims to be a 120A ESC. I was excited at first when the rumors started about a Monster controller from Castle. But after a year of waiting, I just modified the three MM's to handle 5S and give up on the MMM.

I got tired of waiting and just bought the MGM 16024 to run my setup.
