Default E-Maxx and tire ?????

I am setting my E-Maxx up for running at the beach and was curious as to what you guys thought would the best tires for the front.

Paddles or Razors

Here is a pic with the paddles on the rear....................

razors....much better steering and the motor will bogg and burn up with another set of paddles. 1 pair is hard enough.

Razors for sure.

Yes with a 4x4 you'll loose some of the advantages of front wheel power, but with paddles you won't get much cornering performance.

If you're going to use the razors, might as well save your money and just run the dish wheels...

Since the E-Maxx is 4wd I'd go w/ paddles, just because they give you more forward bite...

idk about the motors getting bogged down though...

You may get forward bite but you'll have pathetic cornering ability.

i also say razors.
but here's the thing, ive seen a lot of vids and run 4wd and 2wd in sand, surprizingly the 2wd come out on top[X(]

but yes i think razors too as paddles are gonna throw sand straight into the body.
youre also gonna want heatsinks on the motors and keep an eye on the batt temps (assuming their nimh's) sand is really high load untill you get going.
when it gets moving the sand starts to seem like water does when barefooting and the load on the motors reduces a bit.

good luck

If you put 2 sets of paddles on a motor it will be like flooring a motor only putting pliers on the end of the armature where the pinion is suppose to be and it will heat up extremely fast. Motors heat up faster when they have paddles as they have to scoop the dirt. You wil be very unhappy with 4 paddles. Even 1/8 buggies only use 1 set of paddles on the rear.
