Ya, 70mph is a little much. The new Brushless ERevo is supposed to be out in the next month or two. It comes with the CC Monster Max and Neu (copy) 2200kv motor. On 6s LiPo, it will come close to 60mph with proper gearing. That said, it will only be good at that speed for a few passes. You will run into problems like keeping it from blowing over and keeping the rubber from coming off the rims. Speed's not cheap either. To hit 70mph, you should plan on spending well over $1000.00...not counting repairs.

You would pretty much have to go Brushless Electric to reach those speeds in a truck. I've seen a couple RC10T's that do 70+ with BL, but it starts to become a straight line vehicle only. Traxxas makes a 4WD nitro car that does 70mph that you can actually drive around, but if you are not familiar with operating RC vehicles you are asking for many migrane headaches!!! I've seen people who have a little experience driving other peoples cars go out and get a nitro or BL truck that does 45-55 mph and break MANY things just trying to learn how to drive it. Take the time to learn on something that goes 30-35. You will have more fun and you can always upgrade for speed later. Remember, power hurts, but speed kills!!!

I see the same thing in helis all the time.... "what's the best 3D heli?".... my first response - "you're not flying 3D in the first 6 months...."
learn to walk before you run or you'll fall down and break something.

Sorry guys i did not think that you would respond like this, but i have had a nitro HPI maybe 8 years ago and i was good at it. Many sleepless nights on the parking lots and early mornings waiting for the Hobby shop to open so i can replace my broken car parts. I said that i 'm new to this because it was so long ago that everything i know is out dated. Please advice me on something that can go really fast and it can be driven on different terrains. I know that you guys know a lot more than someone at the local Hobby Shop. Thanks Again

HPI 5B with a highly-ported 50cc motocross racing 2-stroke and an enormous pinion gear?
They go onroad (and of-course off-road): http://www.metacafe.com/watch/880217...on_road_track/
Just needs the extra power and you're right up there at 100 mph.

I would not suggest the slash if you want to go that fast. I was running a mamba in my slash and when you run 3S lipo the body literally catches wind and flips the car over.
If you want a RTR car that can be really fast with brushless you basically have four options.
Rustler VXL
Stampede VXL
Losi Speed T
HPI firestorm Flux (wont run 3S lipo though)
All four are durable, all four can be quite fast, all four are reasonably affordable, and all four can go in most terrains. The Speed T would need a tire change to go off road though. Traxxas also makes a bandit VXL that is really cheap on www.ultimatehobbies.com but its not nearly as good as the others in grass or rougher terrain.

RE: What to buy Please help
The Rustler VXL would probably be a good option for you. It is reasonably priced, ready to go, and a fun truck. You'll need to buy shocks and shock towers to make it handle awesome without wanting to flip over, but that's only another $100 or so. That HPI Baja is awesome!!! If you have an extra $1000 lying around!!! Both the Baja 5B SS (don't want the little 23cc engine that comes on the 5B) and the Baja 5T (Like a Slash just way bigger and cooler) are on my list of RC's to buy in the next year or two. The Rustler VXL also comes with a beginner option on the ESC that lets you only operate at 50% power. This way you can get a feel for how it drives the first battery pack or two before going balls out. Hope this helps, and if you man up to an HPI Baja 5B or 5T good for you you lucky bast@rd!!!
