rEvo 3.3 conversion, will 8000mah 10c be ok?
i just picked up a revo 3.3 on ebay for a good deal.
i have a trueRC 8000mah 3s 10C battery pack that i was wondering if i could use it?
i dunno if a revo is gonna draw 80-90 amps.
was looking at getting the MMM v3 and a feigao XL motor.
what setup should i try and go with to use this lipo??
(yes i'm doing the tranny converion and all the other stuff too)
shaun

For a receiver pack 10C would be fine, but that voltage is nearly double what a typical radio can handle.

not the reciver pack!!
for a main power pack!!
remember that 10c isnt automaticaly bad, it's just telling you that this pack can pull 80A cont and 120A burst.

OHHHHH! For a nitro to electric conversion! Muh bad! [sm=biggrin.gif]
I dunno depends on what kind of motor you want to run. A Revo is a pretty darn heavy truck, and that one being a Nitro doesn't help. You're gonna want a pretty stout motor to drag that thing around. Id go for a 14V setup like the Novak HV. I wouldn't try to run something that big with a 10C pack. Better to be safe then sorry.

10C is not really enough. Brushless motors put out 100% torque at 1 rpm, they need the high C. With a smaller 2wd car, you could easily get by with a 10c pack, and you do have the high Mah going for you. But it will be debatable rather or not that will be enough.
IMO, don't buy a MMM if your only going to get a feigao. Get the entire combo for not much more, and then you will get a much better motor with it.

I have that same battery, but not in a conversion. How much weight are we talkin? I've ran it on a 5 pound rustler with a mamba 6900 geared pretty high for speed runs and got 58 mph out of it no sweat on 2s. I did that only to prove a point to my friend, we were comparing that battery to a maxamps 6000 20c and he was impressed and surprised that it achieved the same speed. Now for your app. sorry I have no idea if its enough battery. Maybe if you can pair it up in either series or parallel, you could get away with it.

your truck is going to be slow on 3s 10c battery. I have a MMM and a 9xl in my Erevo and use 2 spc 7.4v 2s 8000mah in series for a total of 4s (14.8v). I believe the battery is rated at 12c or 15c. Regardless, I've tried running my revo on a 3s 5000mah 15c lipo and it sucked, much less speed and punch compared to the 2 battery config. And when I run 6s, it moves but would never run it for any significant amount of time. Good luck to ya.

I'm sure it could move it, but for how long? You dont want a Lipo to toast while its still in your truck. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCWdnjLqVWw
