Kinda like the SC8 from Team Ass.? If you just put a slash body on an 8th scale, that might make for a pretty cool independent class...

That's what I'm thinking.... since we already have the Jammin X1Cr and the boss wants to upgrade to either an RC8 or 8ight for racing. The body seems to want to fit perfectly, this would be a hoot.

Very cool. Is it just me being a rookie or does the size and shape of the Slash body (and similar) lend itself perfectly for folks who already have an 1/8 scale to just set ip up to run with multiple platforms?

YES! That would be fun; just a body/mounts/etc.., whatever buggy you want, you got a fun semi-scale class! 8th scale buggies handle way better than a stock slash...and they're tough. That would appeal to newcomers.

I gotta couple GS storms that might come out of storage and get a CORR upgrade if this takes off locally. Crawling almost took off here, but 4 guys ain't enough for a comp...

Cheers.

This would be a nice way to breathe life into an old 8th scale. The tough and good handling cars would be fun to drive with a semi-scale body. A conversion kit should be around $50 including the body and mounts. The underside should stay whatever buggy you based it on. Imagine all the Ultra Comps and Hyper 7s that could live again! They're cheap, tough, and can be made to handle pretty well!

I'm also wondering if the softer long travel "style" of ride with the jump absorbing qualities of the Slash / CORR truck could be re-created in the 1/8 platform. Switch in Truggy (longer) A-Arms, some softer shock springs, of course a do-it-yourself custom fab body mount adds to the creative process..... I think it would be a hoot.

With the "better driver" half of our team wanting to upgrade the brushless 1/8 racing rig, that leaves the Jammin for me to play with.

I'm liking the idea more and more...

: )

Are you going to make it two wheel drive. If not it is more like a slayer.

Yes, you're right. Is the Slayer 4WD?

At any rate, it will be electric (as I'm working with a Brushless Jammin X1CR), will be 4WD, the real thrill I'm having with is I can put both vehicles on the track with the same body. The HandyRacing rig....

(Its all in fun, I'm a rookie driver and not exactly a threat to anyone in any class anyway)

It looks really good so far. The slayer is 4wheel nitro and slash is 2wheel electric. Keep up the good work. I have a xtm X-terminator that could use a make over.
