Intellect 7 cell 4600 mAh problems
GOSH! I recently got some Intellect batteries and as i was charging them my charger (Vision Peak 2 AC/DC Peak Charger) refused to charge one of them at 7 cells.
I'm not sure if the battery has a bad cell or if it's my charger.
Any Ideas?

Is it just an adapter from the Tamiya plug to the Traxxas plug, or did you actually solder a Traxxas plug to the charger?

That might be why. Tamiya conectors just have ALOT of resistence.

Whether that's the problem or not you should still get rid of it. Trust me, your pack will charge better without that plug in the way, despite the relatively small amount of current that is passing through it during charging.
Are these packs side by side or shotgun (stick) packs?

Oh good, break out your multimeter and check the voltage of each cell. Just put the leads on the opposite ends of each cell starting with the first, and move down the line. If any show up with below .9V then its possible that cell is bad. If it shows 0V then its dead for sure.
If you don't have a multimeter, get one, and learn to use it. Because you will use it often once you know how.

I highly doubt it has anything to do with your connectors. Those only really have an impact when you are discharging the battery. I have had alot of bad experiences with intellect cells, so you are best off checking the voltage of each individual cell.

I agree, the IB cells are finicky. They are good for racing I guess, but not too robust compared to something like a gp3300 cell which is pretty well bomb proof. I have three intellect 3800 sxs packs and each one had a cell measuring zero, even after multiple charging and discharging so I'm going to have to do some swapping around and try to make two good packs out of the 3 and have a few extra cells left over for when some of the others tank [&:]

What should i do?
Should i get another pack or could i get another cell?
If so where?
Thanks for all the help.

If you can use a soldering gun you can fix it pretty easy. Batteries aren't the best thing to practice with if you're inexperienced though. Most hobby shops (good ones at least) will be able to solder a new cell in for you. Just find the same cells and order a few of them just in case.
