SMC makes great batteries, in fact what's on the label is what you can expect out of the pack.

If it has SMC's name on it then what is says is what it does. They make some of the best packs on the market.

Id love to have a few sets of those. Can you imagine the run time in a summit? Heck you can get nearly a half hour on some descent nimh packs, you would get an hour + with those things. Probably 30 minutes on a brushless e-revo. Too bad I dont have $500+ to buy 4 packs.

Their are 14000 NIMH out. But No charger can handle them NOW. []
You can get 2 5000 NIMH and hook them up together and be cheaper than $129. Same weight.

That really isn't that hard to make, just put two 4500mah cells in series

MaxAmps, or better known as MaxCraps, exaggerates the ratings on their packs probably more than any other company, and they are crazy overpriced.

I would like to see Access get a hold of a couple of these SMC 9000 mAh packs and put them through his usual tests, would be great to see how they performand if their ratings are true.

I might forget about getting two 4S Zippy's and running them in parallel for my Maxx and instead just get a couple of these and run them in series. I am getting about 15 to 18 minutes of runtime on my Maxx with my MMM and Medusa 36-80 2200Kv geared for 43 MPH with my Protek 2S 4000mAh 30C packs, I bet I could get about 30 minutes with those SMC 9000's.

Maybe too hard for you, since they would have to be wired in Parallel.
