Default Traxxas Bandit

I have a traxxas Bandit 2401 legacy with a Titan 12T motor shipping. I have a rotary speed control. Will my speed control burn up? What's the cheapest waterproof ESC with forward and reverse if it will burn up

There are a ton of waterproof speed controls out there. You have been misinformed.

Yeah, go with the Traxxas XL-5 ESC. It is good, simple, and waterproof. Water-tight, actually, as I just found out today.

There have got to be lots of folks who bought Stampedes, Bandits, and Rustlers in the XL-5 package who have upgraded to brushless and are looking to recoup some of that cost.

Addendum to what scoobs said: The included Titan 550 is a 12 turn motor, but somehow, it is not the same as a 12 T aftermarket motor with replacable brushes.
