Upgrading Propulse T100
Iam kinda new to the hobby RC world. I purchased a propulse T100 in december 08and Ijust recently upgraded it. Igot a stock receiver with a Team associated Reedy 9500kv Brushless motor and ESC kit. Iam running a 9.6v Nimh Battery with a Tamaya plug.=, No metal hop ups and a High Speed megatech Servo with servo saver and a 5" Lexan spoiler for the back. Oh and stock controller.
Iam useing the 13t pinion with a 54t spur and estimate it to run at around 45=50mph. Can anyone recommend a "metal gear" servo for this truck that has enought torque to turn at that speed. Iwould like to avoid moding the truck (I.E cutting it) Ican fit a 22m long by 12mm think servo. There is plenty of room for the hieght. (height being form the bell back)
Ican change the gears up to 15t pinionto 53t spur and set the throttle from its current setting (standard)to "max" but I dont dare untilIget a more accurate andpowerful servo.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. im also open to any suggestion to further increase its performance.

RE: Upgrading Propulse T100
Thanks Fieroman. I didnt really see the answer to that question in that forum. My question is "is there a metal gear servo that will fit the stock truck servo mounts". I ordered another plastic high speed servo but I know the gears in that wont last long. Ive been going through about 1 servo every 2 months

RE: Upgrading Propulse T100
There are no metal spur gears for the the pro-pulse. However, rc18t spur gears will work but you will have to use a 18t center shaft as the rc18t spur uses a hex drive and the propulse uses a pin drive.
This thread gives all the compatible parts for the pro-pulse:

Also if you post pro-pulse questions in the pro-pulse thread you will get more answers.

RE: Upgrading Propulse T100
Thanks genitor. The spur wasnt really my problem. its the little crown gear at the end of the drive shaft that turns the diffs. my truck chews them up in a couple of passes. especially the rear one. My truck is front wheel drive right now.

The one for the 18Twould work:

It would be best if you upgrade your diffs to all metal, it would hold up better to brushless power.
The compatibility list has some options.
