promatch emergency
I just plugged in my batteries just like I typically do into my evx2. The Evx2 didn't turn on... so I plugged it into my evx and the truck moved but very slowly. So now one of my packs is at 9.4v which is ok, but the other one is at 7.4v and hot.

RE: promatch emergency
nah i plugged in two 4600 7cell promatch packs. And youd expect both packs to heat up but only one did...The truck was also very sluggish... One of the packs was fully charged and the second pack was at 7.4v(I know its low). The 7.4v pack heated up but still I dont get why the truck was moving so slow

I'd bet that the hot battery wasn't full charged like the other one. When running in series with another it will reverse charge and get hot quick. A quick voltage check WHILE RUNNING will tell.

RE: promatch emergency
It's probably a dead cell. I had some big problems with my Energ 4600s from promatch dying out. With one of them, there was a dead cell within the first charge!

well, you have to plug in 2 batteries on the evx2 for it to turn on. and if you plugged in a 8 cell and a 6 cell then, you prolly meessed up ur esc

RE: promatch emergency
I had one of the cells in my 7 cell 4200 pack go bad. Sent it back ($4.95 shipping) then like a week and half later I got a replacement, running well after 3 runs so far.
When you charge the iffy pack, make sure you watch it closely!

Yeah I think the 4600 cells are pretty weak...I have had a few die as well without any real abuse at all. This is why I am curious as to how the new 5000 cells do. Oh well time to just go lipo on everything I guess and be done with it :P

RE: promatch emergency
hmmm very funny post.. my 4600 cells are acting weird.. cant get a full 4600 charge outta them.. only like 3500.. they run great for 15 minutes then it just drops, like there is zero charge. i charged them at 1 a, at the end of the charge (3500) the hottest cell was 121, and lowest was 111..all else were inbetween 111-121.
emailed them and havent got a response back

RE: promatch emergency
so Im on about my fifth charge and the packs are charging to be pretty hot Im charging on 3amps. The packs are hot enough to where I can only hold it for several seconds. Is this is an issue? Should I worry about them getting so hot?
Thanks
