Use the search function and you will find plenty of info, most of it being good.

i've ordered from them twice and even with the cheaper shipping, it is still very fast considering it is coming all the way from hong kong. they have good batteries for dirt cheap prices. their batteries out-perform maxamps (not hard to do really), but are cheaper then any other brand out there. the motors on that website are OK, but not great. their ESCs are pretty good.

hobbycity is the cheapest, most reliable chinese hobby website. A+.

they are a great place to order from but just make sure you get the EMS express shipping for about $8 more because it is much faster.

I have used them a couple times, shipping is a little high (compared to in US shipping prices) and it takes up to two weeks to arrive, but the overall price is usually good. However, I have always ordered with the knowledge that shipping prices back make it unlikely that I would return something. A little bit of buyer beware. But yes I was happy and would order from them again.

They are a good outfit in my opinion..............All the Lipos and motors i've ordered have worked very well, actually a bit above my expectations. Sure, one guy here or there will get a bad motor or a batt with a bad cell, but that occurance is certainly the exception not the norm. Their Lipos outperform some high $$ brands at 1/3 the price................you cant beat it. I give them a 9 out of 10.

Why are all the links that people have placed in this thread supposedly to Hobbycity but end up taking you to some helicopter site?

There were 3 different members who posted a bogus link. Sounds like a conspiracy to me. They are trying to detract members from finding out how good Hobbycity, Hobbyking really is. Good job Rebuilder for posting the correct link. At least somebody knows what the heck they're doing.

Wow. just after my last post i just realized that RCU has it set up so if you type hobby C i t y in your post it sets up an automatic link to a helicopter site called CNC i think it is. Wow, sounds like something fishy is going on. RCU must fix this. That isn't even fair one bit. Seems to me that one of the American hobby companies got scared that all of their business would be going to HC once people started to realize how good of a business they're running. Shame on them. Maybe if some of the U.S. sites lowered their prices people would shop their once again, instead of taking our business overseas. Capitalism is a good thing, but only to a certain extent. And people wonder why our economy is jacked up!!!!

Now if you type in the word b a t t e r y, it turns the word into a link that takes you to the rip off artists that call themselves maxcramps. I would never put a dime of my money into that place. Don't worry maxcramps i will be getting the word out about your tatics and maybe even R C universe if they keep up with these bogus links that they have set up. Talk about breaking the rules of fair competition. Now myself and other members can't even type in a simple word without it being turned into a link. Maybe everyone should just start using RC Tech. I like their forum better anyways. Oh yeah Oople is an awesome site as well. The guy's on their are very helpful and polite. You gotta love the Brits. Real good people for sure.

hope you have a power supply too, otherwise you'll have to run off a car battery the whole time, you can't just plug that one into the wall.

it is advertising, they (RCU) must sell hotlinks to common words. if that word appears in a thread it is automatically a link.

About hobbycity's lipo's. What do you guys reccomend for 2S lipos with 4000+ mah, doesnt really matter on the C rating as I will buy 7 bos stock slash's and about 10 lipo batteries for racing. Since the cars will be rented I would need something cheap and doesnt puff easily. Also, how long would a 4000 or 5000 last in a box stock slash, training mode or sport mode? Im asking this because the XL5 waterproof doesnt have a LVC so I need it to last about 15+ minutes. I cant see what connectors they use but obviously I would want Traxxas connectors. Also looking for chargers.
