Tower order is shipped. Some JC rulux wheels, Sidewinder 4600, RRP pinions, some deans plugs (used to have a massive stockpile, have no clue where they went now [:@]) and some other fancy little doodads

Looks from your pics like you've got a Marlin .22 Magnum. Correct? My cousin has one and I have one in .17HMR.

On topic, nice SC10!

For colors I vote blue, black and white (some combination of these three). Either way, be sure to post pics once you paint it. By the way, I don't blame you on the turnbuckles, my least favorite part of most builds. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the turnbuckles came pre-assembled in my RC8B kit I recently purchased.

GOOD EYE!
Yessir, model 25MN!
Brother has the same rifle, only in .17 cal.

Great for sitting on top of the combine at Dad's house and picking off groundhogs and drinking beer

And on topic, probably just gonna shoot this body one color, either white or blue. This body won't last long with the SW4600 at a BMX track

Jeremy has to admit that this has not turned into much of a build thread. Jeremy thinks TBJ was too anxious to get this together (despite waiting on a separate Tower order) to properly document it. Tsk, tsk tsk.

TBJ should check out some of Lunchboxer's build threads for a reference point.

Yeah, threw the truck together way too fast.

When the new goodies are installed, the teardown and rebuild will be documented

It's sucked the last couple days looking at this truck on the desk...
a set of GP3300s in it and an old worn out Trinity Onyx bolted in it to set the static ride height and camber/toe and stuff...

ARGH[&:]

Been toying with the next project though.
the SC Losi should have built, anybody? [8D]

So
Friggin tower....

Got everything, they just sent a pair of white front Ruluxes and a pair of black rears. Maybe ThunderbirdJunkie will tell them to go ahead and charge a pair of black fronts when they ship the white rears.

Thats gonna be loads of fun to drive

My "almost" father in law got his stock blitz, batteries, and charger from tower today, and man that thing is sweet We ran it in the house just a little since he didnt want to take it into the snow, but it seems like its going to be a blast to drive, even stock.

Nah, keeping it simple one color
Have:
Metallic green
Candy red
Outlaw black
metallic burgundy
Tamiya white
Got a few other cans laying around here somewhere, not sure where they are though.

Also thinking about putting that fuzzy crap that ou occasionally see on sportbikes on the body

TBH, I recommend using 18/87 with the cm-36 4600. I've been using said gear ratio for months now and it keeps pretty cool. If you run two batteries in a row it can get pretty hot, so give it a five minute rest in between. I've experimented with a few other gear ratios, 20/87 seems to be moderately faster without much of a temperature increase, but I prefer to keep it low. Have fun with the sc10, it's a blast.

Nice, that is the same shade and gloss of green I had in mind, just without the flames. XD

FWIW, Pactra (and Tamiya's will look even better, if you can get it to cover) metallic paints look great when backed with white, silver, or black.

ITBJHO, the colors do no justice to the POP that the combination gives them in sunlight
