Default Tamiya Super Hornet Rear Tyres..

My Mate has an Original Tamiya Super hornet and is in need of new rear tyres and pinion..

Can anyone suggest some replacement tyres as I cannot find any around where we live..

Will I be able to use a standard tamiya 18T pinion or will I need to find an original 18T pinion for it ?

Proline dirt hawgs are a good onroad/offroad tire.

They are one of the only buggy tires that don't get chewed up on pavement. So many use spikes.
Not sure if Tower ships to australia, though.

Try ebay for the tires. as for the pinion, tamiya uses metric so its best to get one of theirs for a replacement. make sure you get the correct part number, should be in the manual. You could run into an 18t 48p metric as well as a 18t 32p metric. Not sure which one the super hornet uses, the regular hornet uses the 18t 32p metric. here is the one for the regular hornet http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...4&I=LXGP55&P=K

tt01 uses 48p metric (got one of those too ) sounds like it must use the 32p metric pinion which is what the 'regular' hornet uses
