Default heatsink for 550 size motor (like titan 12t)

ok, my bruhsless plans have grinded to a halt for now, and i would like to install a heat sink on my great planes s-600 motor. i will be using this guide

http://www.misbehavin-rc.com/pit-lan...-heat-sink.asp

with this heatsink

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...1&I=LXTG84&P=7

wil the heat sink fit on the motor? there seems to be a min curvular thingy on the motor already.

im not sure about the heat sink but your s-600 is actually longer than a 550. you may not need to cut out much. im not certain on this though

a heat sink wont help that much, you cant run your motor at 200+ thinking a heat sink is gonna help bring you down to 160,

I have a couple of those Heat sinks and they are huge. They came with the HV-Maxx motors I was running in my E-maxx and Savage. Right now I'm running the same blue associated heatsink that is shown in that write up on my S-600 in a Pede and rustler. They are only slightly larger around than a 540. If you look at the can diameter it's only 1.43 where a typical 540 is 1.41. I've never had a problem keeping the heat sink in place.

Are you doing this to a Pede or rustler?
