Default my rustler to slash conversion!!

I decided to convert my rustler to a slash so heres some pics. I have everything except tire/wheels the body and a receiver box. Let me know if I forgot anything. And what can I do to help the suspension because I can drop it from about a foot off the ground and the back bottoms out...I already have stiff springs and a bunch off pre-load spacers?

No just the stock ones. What weight oil would you put in them for bashing and jumping?

in my slash(which I raced on the track) I used 40wt all around with great success..now I am running 32.5/40 because of the lighter lower cg chassis(haven't ran it yet but we'll see)

Yea.. I will post some pics in a little while. Why didn't you look to see how it was on when you took the rustler chassis off?

Move the bottoms of your rear shocks to the outside holes! When you put them on the inside holes, that gives you the most ride height, but also gives the shock a disadvantage when it comes to leverage, so it makes the suspension much softer. If you move the shocks to the outer most hole, the truck will be much stiffer, and ride just a little lower, but it will be worth it.

welcome to owning a slash!! lol

I run 60wt oil in the big bores, with stock preloads, and I ignore most the slaps (still happens)

Don't wory too mutch about it. It's a Traxxas, it can take the abuse. Use the tips above and you should be good.

I can't tell from the pictures, but do you have XLshocks in the back?

I'm no expert, but I was under the impression that bottoming out was SUPPOSED to happen-that's why they make the chassis so wide and flat nowadays. I can't remember if I read that in one of the mags or not...
