Default 4X4 slash dune buggy!

Hey guys i just picked up a 4x4 slash and imma make it into a dune buggy/sand rail but i have a question about the pro-line paddles and front wheels for the sand. what is the point of having the front sand tires if there just gunna pin and not produce traction? im not a noob i was jw if i should get two sets of paddles or paddles for the rear and the front sand tires for the front. thanks guys

Mine ran fine with just the rear set of paddles on a 2S battery. Front paddles will get you more traction however at the sacrifice of throwing sand all inside your chassis when your turning under power. You also need to do some work in preparing for the truck for sand or you may risk damaging your gears or center driveshaft. By that I mean, you need to close up the gap where the driveshaft meets the slipper gear. Also close up the drain holes in the bottom of the chassis and do the tape mod or equivalent at the front of the chassis to keep some of the sand out of the drive shaft pocket. I ran one battery in sand and it gets everywhere and in everything, but its fun as hell in the sand. Others have run front and rear paddles, lets see what they have to say.

four paddle wise I would go for HPI sand throwers and scrub/shave the edges a bit for the front set to offer both steering and traction, four sand paws handle terrible IMO but one local got decent results by cutting off all the inside lugs on the front tires.
