i love the 4wd, roll cage, driver and fake spare tires!
but why did they decide to go 1/12 scale?
if it was 1/10 it would compete well with the 4x4 slash. granted, it doesnt come brushless, but the details say it is brushless ready.
it looks great, but kinda pricey for the speed and size[:'(]

Yet again, the point has been dramatically missed. This is a scale version of a smaller class truck built for a different class than the blitz/slash/sc10 etc. are modeled after. It was never meant to, and never will, conform to ROAR sct rules. What it is is an awesomely scale truck built primarily for fun. I shall be picking one up as soon as it is out and enjoying the fact that it doesn't look like a fat man has sat on it.

The one thing that I didn't like about the SC class is that they are meant to look like real trucks, but if they were 1/1 scale, they would be over two feet two wide. This truck doesn't have that problem and looks awesome! Two thumbs up HPI.

I'm thinking the SC trucks sacrificed a small amount of realism for better driveability. I think that is fine though, makes for great racing on the track. Looks like HPI didn't make that compromise on this truck, but I don't think they were really going for a track vehicle here. It certainly looks incredible...I'm just anxious to see how this runs.

I like it, I would like to see it beside a blitz though for a visual comparison in size.

I understand that it wasn't meant to compete with SC trucks, but they make conversions for nitro to electric, buggy to MT, and everyone seems to enjoy comparing everything to the SC trucks. It would be silly for them to make it asan SC truck, since they already make an SC truck.

I really like the looks of this truck. I wonder if the fake spares could be replaced with real spares. From the picture, it looks possible.

You should be able to by looking at the photos. However, i think real spares are quite heavy.

Because, of course, it's a good idea to have loads of weight mounted high up in what is already a narrow scale vehicle... When was the last time you actually needed a spare tire for an rc powered by a brushed stock motor?
