**Just Released** CASTER RACING SNIPER S10B 4WD PRO BUGGY.
Figured I would make a thread for this new buggy. Looks like it is gonna be pretty big judging from interest all over the internet since its release early today. Post your questions, setup tips, comments, etc here.

I think you might have been a little late. There is already a thread about it.

Why is there a hole/slot in the chassis tray so that the spur is exposed to the nastiness of offroad dirt/gravel underneath?

Thats so dirts and little rocks have a place too come out of instead of staying inside the chassis

Still, seems like having a hole in your chassis plate is just begging for crap to get up in there. But like I said, I really have no idea. *shrug*

i looks like the spur is too low so it need the hole to clear the chassis. looks like an after thought or "oh crap" moment.
the car could have been designed with a smaller spur, then they realized the gearing was off. it could happen. lol

could probably take a piece of scrap lexan from a body cut it to a similar size and screw it over the hole like some nitro's do to cover it.

The brushed and brushless versions will be devised from the plastic car. Brushed version with AM radio will be $199. street price. They are still trying to figure actual cost to produce the aluminum one shown as I asked for flagship, top quality everything....
I am sure it will be very economical compared to the $600 Durango it is comparable to.

At that price it might give the Traxxas XL5 lineup a run for the money.

What is up with the exposed spur gear? One good chassis slap on some dirt and that thing is gonna suck it up like a vacuum. I'm not sure I like the hinge pins... they would slide out pretty easily if that little set screw came loose. Fit and finish also looks kinda of shotty...
10th scale 4wd buggy is a dead class... and this thing looks a bit fragile and exposed to be a basher.

Not sure what some of yous are dronin on about. The Sniper looks pretty slick to me. By looking at the pics, the fit and finish looks good to me.....haven't gotten out the magnifying glass as of yet though. And the exposed spur.....big deal. The buggy is obviously built for racing. So, racing it's designed for.

Of course, there is also the analogy that no one will see you coming, etc.....lol.
Besides, isn't zx, ex, sb, kt, etc.... amazingly boring?

RE: **Just Released** CASTER RACING SNIPER S10B 4WD PRO BUGGY.
for the hole in the center of the chassis just screw a piece of lexan over it. thats what i did on my kyosho and it works fine. Every 1/8 scale buggy i have seen has that hole, but im not for sure why you would need it on an electric.
