RE: Awesome new Slash conversion kit from RC4WD
looks nice, but doesn't look like it comes with a locker for the stock gear box. hope it does, so you dont have to use jb weld or something else of the likes.

RE: Awesome new Slash conversion kit from RC4WD
can you even call that a slash anymore?
outside the shocks, bumpers, and tires most those parts can come from almost any of the 2wd traxxas vehicles ;) |

RE: Awesome new Slash conversion kit from RC4WD
From the looks of it you might even be able to use a Stampede for the conversion. It does look nice. How much is it?

RE: Awesome new Slash conversion kit from RC4WD
Oh sorry, forgot the link:
http://store.rc4wd.com/Hardcore-Slas...t-_p_1085.html It's $350 and due out in a couple weeks. Pricey but so is everything else they make. Quality is good though, practically unbreakable. |

Look forward to seeing some vids on this bad boy! And I agree, looks like you only use front A arm, tranny, wheels, front shocks, bumpers, and body mounts. Hardly a slash anymore :p |

RE: Awesome new Slash conversion kit from RC4WD
You're welcome :)
When you think about it, for those who already have a Slash $350 for an almost entirely new vehicle with top quality parts isn't bad. |
RE: Awesome new Slash conversion kit from RC4WD
So if I ordered this alone I would only need a few parts from the Slash to get it going?
- Bumpers - Front shocks - A arms - Tranny -Wheels Is that all? If so I am in it looks nice especially with the shell. |
RE: Awesome new Slash conversion kit from RC4WD
front bulk head, front shock tower, and body mounts are three more that i see in the pics
and of course wheels tires, and a body |

RE: Awesome new Slash conversion kit from RC4WD
Geebus, some folks are made of money.... $349 is just a teeny weeny little bit more than I'd want to pay, perhaps $200, considering I have to reuse my own Slash parts, I can't see how they can justify that inflated price.... most of their complete roller 4x4 scale trucks cost less than $300. But oh well. Nice to see more scratch built options at least.
|
RE: Awesome new Slash conversion kit from RC4WD
Meh, price is ok. You see the words 'Billet' and 'RC4WD' in the same sentance and it's probably going to cost 300 bucks whatever it is. Thing is, there are a lot of people that will pay that, and that axle is going to be sought after seen as how it's obviously Slash width... Which also means it's SC10 width... And Ultima SC width... Proper scale SC racing anyone?
