VRC Pro offroad

<div>SHORT COURSE TRUCKS</div><div></div><div>This has probably been the single most asked question: will there be off-road in VRC Pro? Yes, VRC Pro goes off-road, delivering on an old promise. The first class to feature in VRC Pro will be the immensely popular electric powered 1:10 scale 4WD Short Course Truck class. These cars are a good starting point into off-road, they are fun and exciting to drive (and fly&hellip;) and with the spectacular short course truck bodies they really look great on the off-road tracks. With this class VRC Pro caters for the typical basher as well as the typical racer. A wide range of top-brand tires and special off-road motors will be available for the short course trucks.</div><div></div><div>Short course trucks will be introduced early July, so look out for it.</div><div></div><div>More info can be found on the VRC Pro facebook page: www.facebook.com/vrcpro</div><div></div><div>http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...41995372_n.jpg</div><div></div><div>http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...41216497_n.jpg</div><div></div><div>http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...84615816_n.jpg</div><div></div><div>http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...42879440_n.jpg</div><div></div><div>http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...45289222_n.jpg</div>

By the way, Short Course trucks will be added as a new class to the regular VRC Pro software, so no additional software is required. All you need is a valid VRC Pro membership.<div></div><div>We will also include a free spec car for trial users and Lite members.</div><div></div><div>http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...61855770_n.jpg</div><div></div><div>http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...76476702_n.jpg</div><div></div><div>http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...73445694_n.jpg</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div>

I tried it a while ago, but never got around to downloading it as I don't play online and don't want to have to pay a membership... do you guys plan on selling a standalone offline full version?

RE: VRC Pro offroad

Well i got the dongle today spent around a hour or so trying to get it all working sweet...

No luck what so ever, Its un drivable. after most corners the car keeps turning???? ive recalibrated it a few times, reset my controller to default. even checked in the in game controller menu to see if my controller was holding steering input. none of the above... reminds me of a loose servo horn.

Where are the FAQ's or support thread????

We have a special (very cheap) 1-year Lite license for people who don't want to commit to a subscription. The lite license gives you a basic set of tracks and spec cars. Additional content can be purchased if you like.

The only limitations of the Lite license are that you cannot earn any vEuros, and you don't have the same free/discounted content as full members.

The rest is exactly the same as a full membership, you can do multiplayer, practice, time trials, events, etc.

RE: VRC Pro offroad

The early July release has been postponed due to unexpected complications and intensified testing demands related to the co-release of several new features, including replay, ghost cars, controller mapping, achievement system, new camera zoom system and several other features.</p>

Even though the short course truck is now practically ready for release, more work needs to be done to tackle the side effects of transmission changes prepared for the short course trucks (especially the differentials). These side effects affect the handling and performance of the on-road cars as they use the same physics engine. Good progress was already made and we hope to still release offroad this month.</p>

The other reason for delay has to do with the development of new features. Many new features were developed since the last big game update and all need intensive testing before release. Some of you may say: why not leave those features out and release offroad now? It’s not that simple. Everything is programmed in the main program file (exe), you can't leave things half finished and roll back to a previous version to say it simply.</p>

On top of that, also our involvement in the IFMAR Worlds with the Race2theWorlds project is demanding our attention and resources.</p>

As always, we are doing our utmost to get it out, but only when it is ready to go out. I can't wait to let you guys get your hands on short course off-road.... Here are some reactions from our beta testers:</p>

Lonny Larkan
I am very impressed at what I have experienced this far. I think the short course trucks are all very close and fun to drive, great job so far in all departments.</p>

Randy Angelito
...it feels very much like my real truck in the air. </p>

Claus Didriksen
I am amazed of the job that the vrc team has put together. The trucks feel right in the air and on the ground.</p>

Marco Grandesso
The truck is actually close to something real </p>

Martin Wollanka
On the track the car feels good and in the air it feels very realistic on the steering. Congratulations!</p>

Do you have like any idea or guess how much longer it will take? at all? So i know how close the time for me to buy things for this or if I don't have to so soon you know? So an estimate on your thought would be great. thank you

The USB thingy, plugs straight into you existing recevier replacing the steering servo & throttle. Your receiver will be powered from the USB

As far as I know VRC is free but wont be updated anymore and VRC Pro is a different game, that u pay for.

Rember off road is only on the VRC Pro game

WHAT??? yearly or monthly subscription? That REALLY SUCKS!!! That will be a lot more expensive than the real things!!!
This is a hobby, and like any other RC hobby, one day you will get bored with it and with that subscription, it's just not gonna work!
I am a heli/plane flyer. Thought of giving it a shot. But this money sucking thing is driving me OFF!
Is there any competitor to VRC, like what we have for heli and planes?
