e-maxx dewalt
I put a 12v dewalt drill motor on my first gen e-maxx. I am running it with a traxxas xl5 esc. I have been running 4s lipo but the xl5 seems to be getting a little warm. what would be a good waterproof esc for this without busting the bank ?

that esc is set up for two motors. I only have one
Im curious.
How does one a build involving a drill motor? Is the motor brushed? |
jamie, it does not matter. What you do, is make a wiring harness for the dual motor and ESC and hook up those dual motor plugs on the ESC to the single ones on the motor, like so.
yes it is brushed. pretty simple I took a drill that wasn't working. motor was good.
R they fast or strong like for a crawler?
mine dosnt seem fast but lots of torx
Love it. about 6 years ago I put a Dewalt motor on my Stampede, and the XL-5 seemed fine in that, but granted, it's a way smaller truck than the Emaxx. You're definitely right about it not being fast, but man that pede would wheelie and flip on its back with the slightest of throttle movement.
