well i figured everything out so now this thread is for anyone that has vintage marui rc cars please post pics or vids of your oldies

so what do u think is more durable old cars or new

me i think old cars i have gone 40 mph into a brick wall with my rc10 and didnt break anything but every time im out with my evader i break something

amazing! the chassis looks really the same as the marui big bear i had back in the 80s. just the "monster" tires were different and the truck body. here in switzerland the big bear was distributed through robbe.

thanks the white jeep is the one ive had since i was a kid that i thought was a tamiya super willy and the red one is what i got of ebay that they called a mauri big bear

i paid an arm and a leg but its a child hood toy soy i say its priceless

I baught a marui hunter buggy off ebay fo $18 bucks but it probably is not worth that!:eek:

well i figured out what my car really is its a mauri super whellie toyota land cruiser and the one i just got off ebay is a i super wheelie cj7 have been checking around and they sell for 200- 300 bucks so i got a great deal seen a couple of sitesd where nib they are going for 1200

Do you think the hunter is compatable with tamiya parts? What sites did you see those prices on?

i did a search on mauri to find sites im not shure if parts are compatible but the link above^^ is the vintage tamiya site it has a hole bunch of mauri cars listed and all the info u need on them u just gotta read and i mean read allot

yup its fun to beat the newest car that someone just spent 300$ on with one of my 20+ year old cars that i only have 100$ in (my rc10s)

this one is for a resto of my firt rc car tho
al i have left is to find arms for the driver any ideas

well the first rc car i ever owned is back in action with all vintage elect (excpt the deans :D) now i just need arms for the driver if anyone has any old driver figures laying around or know of a site that carrys the it would be awsome

since the newer 6 cell bats don fit i bought some 1600 mah sub c bats and going to build a 5 cel bat witch from what i understand is what it had stock

it suck tho the bats i bought said they had tabs but the ones they have arnt long enough to connect so off to the hobby store when i get back ill have some vids of this oldie in action

stick some crazy brushless in there and make yourself a 5 cell pack then take it to the track XD

id luv to but their is no way to change the motor it acts as the stableizer for the rear end and all the newer motors are allot shorter

well im done building the 5 cell bat it works great started snowing here so no vids today

but i thought u guys would like to know raido shack carrys sub c cells 30 $ for 6 their only 1600 mah but after testing them i found out they are 1.5 v each not 1.2 v like all the cells i have bought before
witch means i have a 7.5v 5cell pack

yup it says right on the side and i have cycled them 3 times they say on pacage 1.2-1.5 v but every one i have i tested and they are all 1.5v

thats what i thought hobby shop was closed last night so i went to the shack to get a cheap pack i could gut for some cells but i saw theese so i thought i would give them a shot and im not unhappy yet . for the 4 runs i have used them i see no preformance isshues im running 5cells and there is no speed drop from when i was using my gp3300 6cell pack just a slghtly shorter run time but thats to be expected since their only 1600mah

still no problems with the raido shack cels i bought. the 5 cell pack is charging at around 8v everytime and im getting 10-15 min runtimes

well here they are nothing to speical but the normal camera man is working so im using a stand in (my mom[sm=lol.gif])

man this old thing is kinda fast for only running on 5 cells trying to figure out how to run an extra cell but cant find a place to put it

arrrrrrrrrrr dang computer crashed in the middle of uploading pic of what im dealing with here it is


also ive got this thing running better it wasnt going into reverse but with a little tinkering i have reverse and now when the throtle is applyed its pooping wheelies true to its name (the wiper plate was to tight and the linkage was attached to the wrong hole on the servo arm)
