Default Competition grade kits

Typically I hate these threads as they usually turn into cyber slugs fests, and that is not what I am trying to start here. Anyway these competition grade kits have caught my attention and now I want one. I'm not a racer and I will only be using it on larger open parking lots and maybe setting up a simple cone course or something like that. but I like cars that perform like real racers do and have the adjustability racers need. I also like that they are ligher weight and can handle brushless power systems. But I am torn about which one I should look into getting. I want something light, rigid, somthing that handles well and isn't a pain in the butt to work on. Here are a few I have been looking at. Which of these would you consider to have the best handling, most adjustable, best overall quality and easiest to work on? And are there any I missed? Can the Associated and Hot Bodies cars be competative against the Serpent and Xray cars?

The TCX is more then competitve its a faster car.. just not a durable as the Xray or Serpant imho.. but that can be fixed. If you are running it on a parking lot and not against other cars it will wont matter to you what car u get.. just pick a colour and buy it.. they all have their own pros and cons..

Hi. I want a competion nitro car, as I plan to buy the hottest and newest Novarossi engine for it. However, I plan to run it with the cheapest fuel I can find, and drive it only when it snows and ices outside.

I'm very sorry - I just spat back.

Hey - I want to buy a competition nitro kit, buy a novarossi .21 engine, and use the cheapest fuel, and run it when it only snows outside.

A HUGE SPANK IN THE FACE.

UN-subscribed now.

Have a nice day now. I don't care if you waste any competition kit and put duck feathers on it and make it fly. I have ZERO respect for hard-core and ignorant nitro artards.

What????

So because I'm not a racer that means I shouldn't use a high quality car as a basher? whats with posting this same comment on the nitro forum?does calling me stupid make you feel better about your sorry existence? Unless you have some useful information to share got off the boards and quit clogging up the system.

quit wasting our time here.

I could care less if you buy a TRF417 and glue bird feathers on it.

As you can see here, there's well over 63 views on your post, but only a few replies.

Have a nice day.

Ask your LHS which car they can get parts for within a couple of days.
I would hate to have to wait 2-3 weeks for parts when it breaks...and it will break.
My LHS I order stuff on Mondays, and have it by Friday, nothing wrong with that.

Well in regards to the chassis you mentioned above have you considered a Factory Team TC4 or even the older Factory Team TC3?

Both TC4 and TC3 are shaft driven which would be ideal for parking lot bashing. Nowadays all high end competition chassis since they race on a clean track are belt driven which offer a smoother drive line.

Both TC4 and TC3 kits have a lot of interchangeable parts readily available on most sites. Both can handle whatever brushless system you throw at it. They have aluminum upgrades as well if you want to turn it into a hardcore basher.

FT included hop ups are: Heavy duty CVDs, steel diffs, carbon driveshaft, titantium turnbuckles, aluminum threaded shock bodies, aluminum motor heatsink/clamp, sways, optional aluminum steering rack, lightweight carbon parts used throughout.

Plus you can find rollers off rctech or ebay for cheap and build it to your liking!

All those cars are equally competitive, it just depends on how much you want to spend, and the build quality you are looking for.

Of those I'd get the Xray, but none are bad.
