Very nice! Maybe make some carpet mats out of cloth in the driver and passenger side? Just playing with my imagination

Yep...already got some rubber mat material set aside! It came with my tower computer and it has a fine cross hatch design on it...perfect for a scale rubber mat! Lol!

Wow! That looks awesome! Good job! Any estimate on when it will be completed?

Oh, I have been working on this project forever (litterally like 10 years lol), the design changed many times, actually started as an idea of a RWD solid axle multi link truck with a weedeater motor and the design kept changing until I found the subie body. The project is never dead, it's just randomly hibernating lol
What is this material exactly you are working with? I mean where do you get this? Is there a common item we know that is made of this so I could kind of understand what it is ? It looks like model cars plastic parts hahaha
Some might be thinking the thing will end up heavy but I think that will actually make it even more realistic (the ultra ligntweight really don't "move" at all like actual cars). You are doing an awesome job bud! The brakes are crazy awesome, I did not think of doing that on smaller 1:10 scale cars.

Yea this is definitely what you should be doing in the scaler scene. Maybe in the future you could design interior kits and get a them produced and distributed!

Hey thanks Frederick!
The plastic material is styrene. It's usually available at hobby shops and is available in sheets, square rods, round rods, half round rods etc at varying thickness. E.g.1mm, 2mm etc.
it's also used a lot by train modelers.. I usually by the sheets on eBay (as its cheaper than the hobby shops) but the rods etc. I buy those from tower hobbies. The brand name is Plastruct. It's really easy to shape once you understand how to work it!

I have been thinking about this as well...i just keep forgetting to make templates when I build stuff! If I did, it would be easy to replicate! Lol!

Hey thanks JBLKing! You guys should also start messing around with scratch building...you will be amazed at what you can create! I started off with simple stuff like boxes and ice coolers etc...simple shapes...which I really sucked at it the beginning...but after a while when you get comfortable with the material and you see what others are doing, the techniques being used, it gets easier !

By the way regarding the wheels, I read you tried to run the vintage HPI but tires did not fit. To have a similar effect of taller sidewall and still use standard tires, you can use these wheels (these are what I will most likely run with the Escort MK2 body when I want a rally setup
The tires are tamiya rally blocks, but you can use any tires. Some give a better effect than others though, narrower look better because the angle of the tire matches better with the fake sidewall. Buffing out the shiny finish of the black plastic sidewall would probably add some realism too (look more like tire rubber)
