Well I had a RS4 Rally, MT2 hybrid, and currently plan to mod the EVO 3 chassis to fit the parts(when I find em)
Just been trying to figure out how to get the battery to fit on it as it was nitro.
So I guess I'm not cool enough to be in the official club

Nice rides prestonlal! By the way, I'm in Queens also. We should meet up and bash!

I've had a few RS4 Rally cars over the years. I sold them and recently got another, which I am holding onto this time. I got it never ran with upper and lower chassis covers.

I also have a few other rally cars. I have a Tamiya DF-03ra, Tamiya XV-01 Pro and a 1/9 Kyosho DRX VE.

Here are some pics of my stuff:

RS4 Rally:

DF-03ra

XV-01 Pro

DRX VE

Hey SerpentCT4S,
nice rally cars....I also have a couple other non-rs4 rallies...

kyosho lancia delta integrale .... Still a work in progress, still gotta paint and install a brushless system, and working on a custom scale interior...

custom built Rothmans Ford Escort MKII, RWD with live solid axle mounted on leaf springs, motor up front with tranny in the trans tunnel like the 1:1. Also has working front disc brakes mounted on the front axles...
you can see that build here...

Hey serpentct4s how do you like your df03ra. I was looking at that and the hpi wr8 3.0 nitro rally car. Looks pretty cool!

Cool, maybe we can meet up sometime and bash around the rally cars! By the way, I'm in Flushing.

The DF-03ra is nice. It is the rally car I use as my everyday basher. It's fast, durable and a blast to drive. I've only ran my XV-01 a few times and I already notice it's way better than the DF-03ra.
Instead of the HPI, I'd go with the Kyosho DRX VE. I just picked one up a few weeks ago and it's awesome. I think it's the same size as the HPI but it's brushless. If you like nitro, go for, but I'm done with nitro. Brushless + Lipo is where it's at!!

I got my Subaru for $400 at my shop. I think the one with the Demon body is $20 less.

That's pretty pricy for me. I was kind of hoping for something under $300.

That probably does not include lipo batteries and charger! Add another 100.00 for those!

I have two 3s venom 4000mah 20c lipos i use for my boat so it would be just for the price of the car. But i was kind of leaning towards nitro because you can tune them and you just put in the fuel and go.

Just bought myself my first "real" RC-car, and it is a RS4 Rally.
The wheels have seen better days and so is it with the shocks to.
New wheels have been bought but I've got some troubles finding any good shocks, since I don't know what I'm looking for.

My next problem is that i would like Lipos-batteries instead, but as I understand from what I've been reading I would need to get som Hi+Low-alarms. Right?

easier way look at the motor
if it has 2 wires its brushed, if it has 3 its brushless

and yea something like that for a LVA mines even simpler just has LED's on it, and a buzzer no options to set. It auto goes off when the batteries hit 3.4 volts

Ok, two wires is it.
So a LVA is all I need, except an Lipo-bat that fits, to buy then.
Does this LVA just plug into the bat?

Thanks for your answers btw

A friend dropped by yesterday with a charger so I'd at least would get the chance and see if the car worked or not.
It did work
The only thing I wonder now is if it's supposed to have no reverse.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to try the top speed due to slippery roads in combo with drifttires.
