Here are some pics, so you can better understand what I've done to my Grid/Gambado!
This one shows toe-out, 2 degrees, both sides.
Ride height: 4mm front, 5mm rear.
I loosened these two screws (pencil pointing to), 1/2 turn, for more chassis flex.
1mm shim under this pivot block. Front.
1mm shim under this pivot block. Rear.
2mm spacer here. Front.
3mm spacers here. Rear.
I put Velcro strips here, to push battery forward.
1mm preload spacer here, black springs. Rear.
2mm preload spacer here, blue springs. Front.
Approx. .33oz/10G lead weight behind front bumper.
"Stock Spec" gearset, part number 25756, with 27T pinion.

Hello, very good photos, now I understand better the details.
see photo, two hits and two breaks.
happened to you once, I'll put 1 to 2 mm spacer as in your photos
what wheel you use?
a couple of combinations that work very well to me:
-Very fast circuits or hot in twisty
•Ride 35 front and rear 20, ref. 3035 and 3020 respectively. possibly in rim-mounted sweep.
•Sweep 40 front and 25 back (are pre-installed with your rim and sell them 4-4)
•Shimizu 36 (ps-0434) front and 27 (ps-0431) back. Rim also sweep. be careful when you paste them
-For cold or twisty circuits:
•Ride 27 front and rear 20, 3027 and 3020 references respectively. possibly in rim-mounted sweep.
•Sweep 33 front and 25 back (are pre-installed with your rim and sell them 4-4)
•Shimizu 33 (ps-0433) front and sp (ps-0435) back. Rim also sweep. be careful when you paste them. the sp are difficult to obtain, but is behind the wheel!
The ride or the sweep in the usa are readily available. I prefer the ride last much longer, they are more expensive but still come out cheaper in the long run than the sweep.

can you see photos of the yokomo and xevo?
This Friday it is a holiday in Spain and we will have a Christmas of M-chassis race, I will try to put some of your improvements to see the operation of the car.

Still a no-go on the Xevo and Yok pics.
Yes, I see in the pic, what you mean, now. Yep, they bend, but I haven't had that happen to me, yet.
I use Sweep premounted 33's in front, 25's in the rear, as you do! They work well here, since it's mostly milder weather. I can get them easily, so use them exclusively. They wear pretty well for me, and their cost is fair, so I don't mind paying for them, and they're cheaper than HPI X-patterns!
I found the spacers on the lower suspension arms to increase camber were the most effective adjustments. Also, the weight behind the front bumper is closer to 4/5 oz, or 50-55G. There is another lead weight under the one seen in the pic.
If you don't have a swaybar in the rear, you might consider getting one, because it transfers more traction to the front wheels, giving more steering.

In the pic, there's one 2mm spacer, and one 1mm spacer, to make up the 3mm. ABC makes a spacer set. That's the set I used.
Try looking for 1mm and 2mm spacer sets.

Nice Triumph! Mine is a Chariot. I almost wish it was a Triumph. The front end on the Chariot is kind of wonky and fragile. Otherwise, both conversions look much the same.
And yep....that's a Yok YRF! Both are very good looking! It doesn't appear as though you've completed the Yok. Is it built, or are you saving it, because it's a collector item, now?

Cool!
They drive very well, but now are not available, so they are collector's items. It too bad, because manufacturers have neglected the "M" class for a while. M05's and Grids/Gambados are the only chassis available now, and here, in the US, Grids are banned almost everywhere. There's only one track I know, that will allow them - TQRC Racing, in Chino, CA.
Otherwise, it's all nothing but M05's, and those don't drive as well as Grids/Gambados.

Not likely, since it's a track thing.....The Grid/Gambado is just so much faster and efficient than an M05, and to be fair to the class, the M01/3/5 started it all, to begin with, so the newer, faster designs aren't allowed. Seems kind of backward, but that's the mini class.
It's the same for power systems - 27T brushed or 17.5T BL. Anything faster isn't allowed, either, at least in the US. That doesn't bother me, since I just blast parking lots, and run whatever I want, though it isn't that much faster than what track rules call for (15T brushed). I do have a couple of M05's that I can run, if I go south and find a track to run on, since they're set-up to mini racing standard. I will at least have something I can enter without fuss.

Well, the mini classes aren't all that popular at the moment, and the numbers aren't that big, so for most tracks, it doesn't make sense, because having what could be perceived as "unfair advantages" with other brand cars racing with M03's and M05's just makes for bad feelings, if no one with an M03 or M05 can ever win, and the addition of extra classes costs tracks money, and if the numbers of racers don't increase, it's just not worth it, to them.
TQRC is an aberration, because they also sell Grids/Gambados, as well as everything else ABC Hobby sells, so they have a Tamiya mini class, as well as a "mod" class for Grids. They pretty much began their track with those brands in mind, so have a local following. Other than that, everywhere else in the US that didn't do that, just can't see a benefit to increasing the number of classes to accommodate so few people.

Ahhh.....yes.....He uses an outrunner motor. Kind of wonky-looking, but I'll bet it has INSTANT acceleration!
He should try adjusting his motor output with throttle dual-rate. He could reduce his RPM that way. I'm surprised it doesn't flip forward when he mashes the throttle!
Btw, I just got word that my order fr ABC Hobby option parts has arrived at my LHS. I will have to wait until next month to pick it up, though (spent too much on the Ofna Hyper H4e). I will post pics of the haul, and more when the parts are finally installed!
