Default Battery Issue?

I am new to RC and have a HPI Sprint 2 Drift. Completed all the setup and things worked well for a short period, suddenly the car studders on acceleration and in fact some times doesn't move at all. Is this just a sign of a depleted battery? With all the setup mode changing i am hoping nothing else got changed. A little worried about over charging the battery. The battery is a NI-MH.

Thanks for your help.

I'm on the same boat. Hoping to hear some feedback. Currently looking to switch to lipo but not sure if connectors are the same.

This sounds ominous! I don't have a solution I'm afraid but it will be good to hear what the answer to the problem will be.

Hey guys, when buying lipo's its a common practice to change the connectors.
Some batteries don't come with any connectors.
to save your self some money it's really worth learning how to solder. Most hobby shops will do it for next to nothing or free if they are feeling nice lol... One of my local tracks/hobby shops charges $5

hummm that problem could be a few things... Most likely it's been switched to lipo mode

well new2drift and chil3ts44 we need more information and some diagnosing

so just to clarify, when everything is fully charges and switched on the car won't move and sometimes try's to move but shudders on acceleration

Is it the SP-15WP ESC?
it possibly might be on lipo mode....As that is the default mode for that ESC....

For some reason I can to find the manual for that ESC or any mention of it in the sprint 2 manual...
So I suggest try that quote above. But if anyone has a link to the official manual or instructions please post them here
